    Best scope base.

    I'm shooting 77 SMK @ 2850. Using my data, 700 yards needs 19 MOA and 1000 yards needs 40 MOA. A 30 MOA rail should do it.

    Options for dope management and Kestrel selection

    I'm also somewhat new to this type of shooting. The Kestrel 5700 lets you instantly update your data as wind and weather change. I you just want data to record , a phone app such as Strelok Pro might be a better and much cheaper solution.

    Barrel life for JP 16 inch Wylde chamber

    I replaced my 18" JP Wylde chambered barrel @ 10,000 rounds. It was a 3-Gun rifle and did get a lot of rounds through it as fast as i could shoot.

    Having trouble with 77gr tmk

    From a 20" JP barrel. 24.0 8208, CCI BR4, Starline brass, 2850 fps, 9 Sd. No crimp, using Redding "S" die full length size.

    Upgrade my range finder

    I'm new to range finders but did buy and use the current Leupold 2800. It seems to work O.K. and does have a ballistic calculator. The odd thing about it is the the calculator uses a 200 yd. zero.

    Bolt lube

    I don't know if its the best but have been using TM Solutions Ultra Bolt Grease for years. I also use it on the pivot points of my O/U shotguns.
