    I called Sig and talked to service again. They said only the 516's had a Gen1 and Gen2. The 716's are all the same.

    Bolt You need a new bolt from Sig and will end up with proper headspace. It will be more accurate and chew up any ammo flawless. Trust me

    In 2011-12there was a big rush to put AR style rifles on the shelfs in stores. Quality control suffered and first gen Sigs 716 suffered from inferior bolts which caused most FTF and FTE's. I would like to know more since most stores are full of battle rifles now.
