I think that in all reality things are not necessarily worse it's just that information travel faster an even smaller events become stories in a flash. Every few years some one does something crazy and every one thinks the world is worse than it was the decade before. I think that in the last 20 years the crime rate has actually dropped. I don't think cowboy movies had blood and guts spurting all over the place. And after school when the teacher gave back your arms you were not going to go and blow someones brains out because you had a problem with them. No you had a fist fight and in a couple days you were back playing with the kid.

The mentioning of Meds is a well thought out intelligent position to take. It is very possible.

It is also possible that when your grandfather came home from school his mom was there to supervise to an extent. She would tell him cowboy movies are not real. She was there to guide him and watch him.

Now a days mostly due to economic conditions most households have two working parents. Most times out of need, other times just because they want more for them and their kids. My wife stayed home, we had very little but I always thought raising my kids was the most important thing I shall ever do. So I was content for our family to have less, because less was more.

I don't have the all the answers, But I am willing to explore everything because I don't let my ideology blind me to things that would be obvious otherwise. I let the facts guide my thinking not the other way around.

My point here ..There are literally hundreds of story involving younger people committing horrible and gruesome crimes. Its defiantly not a lack of religion that's a stupid notion America is more religious now than ever and religion is just as corrupt as any government and has some extremely violent teachings. Blaming it on T.V., drugs, politics, or any thing else is plain out stupid. quite a few of these people had normal child hoods with good parents and at some point just lost it. I believe some people are born pre disposed to certain behaviors. I also think if the people closest to these individuals recognize this that they can grow to be fairly normal people. The teen years are extremely hard on the human body and psyche. Some kids just crack and don't make it through. This is not new behavior we just here about it much faster

I agree with this as it applies to the healthy population. The problem is with those that through illness or trauma they are outside the bell curve of normal social behavior. Some of them would have their violent tendencies soothed if they had some sort of stabilizing feature in their life or they were able to avoid stimulus that helps push them further into a dark place. There is probably some small number of psychopaths that would be sidetracked if they had organized religion or were able to avoid "that thing" that set them off.

I'll admit that prohibiting healthy society from exposure to these things is legislating to the lowest common denominator and that is more harmful than anything else. My point is that when society takes steps that have collateral damage the correct path is not more steps that only affect those that live in the bounds of society, the correct path is to suck it up, take responsibility, accept that in a fee society bad things happen and try to do something about the next crime before it happens without infringing on the freedoms of healthy people.

Yes I am a loyalist, a loyalist to the U.S. Constitution. The founders saw fit to give us a way to change Govt. without ever having to bear arms again to do it. I reject those who would cast it aside because they have been unable to use it to get their way.

If I see a vehicle stuck in the snow, and I see an obama sticker, I pull up and tell them flat out, "I'd be pulling you out of that snow bank right now, if you wouldn't vote to take away more of my money and freedom." Then I drive off. You think if I started talking to them about what they did to me and my businesses with that goddamn vote of theirs, that they would change their views? No more so than if they tried to get me to change mine. So why the hell should I waste my time? Instead, I make people feel the weight of their choices as frequently as I can.

I am in Business also and after the holier than thou party crashed the economy, I came real close to losing mine. But I sucked it, up toughed it out and made it. FS1, I am a very opened minded person to a point. Some things I'm willing to discuss but I will not ever agree with the liberals on how they think I should live my life. I do not forget the Constitution when it doesn't suit me just as I don't forget those who choose to interpret it how they see fit and are willing to go as far as making changes to the Constitution to further their agenda. At the same time, I do not agree with a lot of the right wing ideology of how to live life under god and the religious garbage they spew to live better lives... save America.

We the people have been at war with our selves over our differences in skin color, place of birth, and even what side of the tracks you're on. All really petty shit. Then, democrats and rebulicans are added in to the mix of all the other shit that society can't agree on and this is our sticking point? Left... right? Its bullshit.

The constitution lays it out. I am neither right nor left. I am the for the Constitution... same coin as you, just the flip side. When the time comes, I will not stand by idly while it is shit on and pissed on by either side. Right now, the liberals are the greater evil of the two. Let's see what happens in November.

I was born in the early '40s, a time when if you were brought home by a police officer for something he saw you do he would probably suggest that your dad bust your ass for it. today, you could be arrested for that. We have evolved into a society where there is rarely any consequences for bad behavior. children generally rule the house from about age 4. It makes me sick to see parents in a resturant "begging" their little darling to please behave. I can just see my Dad begging me to do anything, I was usually told only once. It's all about what the kid wants, and is rarely told "no". When he or she is told no they just keep whinning until they get what they want, so, if someone in authority outside the home tells them "no", they can't handle it so they go "postal". It's taken about fifty years to get to this point. Don't expect it to change anytime soon.

The constitution doesn't have any mention of God. It is not a religious document, it doesn't say I have to follow Christian laws or that I must believe in God. If you believe in God and follow the laws of the Christian Bible that's fine, but our government shouldn't be making those same laws the law of the land. What the constitution does say is that my right to bear arms "shall not be infringed". Its a simple phrase but so many people fail to grasp its meaning.

I wasn't always that way. You, people like you, and the policies you support have caused me to take any action I can to fight against you, anywhere I can.

It's a fight, and your people have been fighting dirty for a hundred years. You people have COUNTED on us taking the high road and being the better men. It's how you've all achieved your goals. Barney Frank? The guy before the last guy that pushed risky loans so "Everyone, regardless of means, would have a home"? Fannie and Freddie Mac? Who was sleeping with the head of Fannie Mae perhaps pushing business his way? Maybe that ex NJ Gov that stole a billion? Who has been trying to ease the rules so that we can go back to where we just came from?

I would argue that that purposeful dismantling of religion, the purposeful redefinition of morality, the obliteration of the family unit and the erasure of the concept of personal responsibility are the root causes of problems in this country. I will leave it to others to reveal whom architected this decline, but make no mistake this trend is part of a well thought out strategy.

This kid is merely a product of those plans. Welcome to the new normal.
