I've had the parts here since June and just got the time to finish her. Going to do some hunting with her. Had out to the range - I'll get some target pics but first groups are all below .5 and just starting to work on loads. Speed is 2670 using 69.2 of H4831SC running the 208 A-Max and wow - talk about fun to shoot. The suppressor makes a great difference in recoil and noise. Can't wait to take her hunting.
Here are the specs.

Trued 700 opened to .705
PTG bolt .703 fluted, M16 Extractor and welded on handle
Holland Designed McMillan stock
22" Kreiger 14.5 Medium/Heavy Palma
Cerakoted H-Series
Timney Trigger (I like alot)
SAS Suppressor

Jaime,

Try some H1000 too. I ran into pressure before peak velocity with the faster powders with my 22". I would be surprised if you can't get at least 2750 or 2800. Assuming you're running a 10 twist? Are you limited in COAL by mag length?

From the pic I see you have a cover over the suppressor, what reason do you use one ? The reason for the question is I have a suppressor but not a cover yet and was debating getting one.

after the suppressor gets hot it creates a mirage in front of your scope. A cover helps keep the mirage down a little bit.

Hi Frank,
I wish it could have been there to hit some steel, pretty impressive with it's energy on target. Thanks all and thanks JROB300 for the powder recomendations. As far as the suppressor goes, it gets hot in a hurry - 4 rounds and she is hot, probably not going to see well without the cover. 8 rounds will probably pull a layer of skin off : )

I'll get some pics up from the range soon. Going after some Elk and Wolf in Idaho in October. I can't wait to go back there - awsome hunting and bautiful country.

Jamie I was going to say the same on the powder. I get around 2850fps with H1000 and a 25" barrel and the 208s. You should be in the high 2700's.

Nice looking rifle. You shooting BHTC in Sept? I might be bringing my 300WM.

In addition to helping with mirage , the cover keeps you from burning the sh#$ out of your hand when you tighten or remove the can. They get hot !

To the op , very nice looking rifle , look forward to hearing how it performs.

Thanks Rob, I'm going to pick up some H1000 and give her a go and see what I can get. I won't be able to make the Sept. Black Hat as if fall right on one of our classes. Hopefully they will do a November on like last year. The color is OD Green with Black and Grey swirls.
