22arc versus 6 arc

Seems everyone loves their 6 arc.
But 22 arc shoots flatter. 6 arc has more energy on target and better at extending max range.

Anyone else on the fence about which one to go with

Tend to agree with you.

The 6ARC is lethal on critters. I’m sure the 22ARC is too. Enough to make me think about getting an 18” barrel to sling 75eld at 2950fps with factory ammo.

Need to shoot through ArmyJerry levels of 6ARC first.

I went the 6 ARC route, if I were starting over today I'd still go 6 ARC. Using it solely for small to medium size fleshy targets at the moment.

Still on the fence until I find out which one has the furthest fragmentation range.

I suppose the 22 ARC would be a good way to put all those 77 grain TMKs & 80 ELDs that I have to good use.

Both the 6 ARC and the .22 ARC have their strengths, and it really depends on what you value more in your shooting needs. The 6ARC does indeed have more energy on target and is better for extending range, which makes it a solid choice for long distance shooting. On the other hand, the .22 Arc's flatter trajectory can be advantageous for mid-range targets up to 600 yards.

........... but if you're primarily shooting within that 5-600 yard range, the .22 ARC might be the better option for you due to its flatter trajectory.
However, if you want the versatility to reach out even further with more energy, the 6 ARC could be the way to go. It sounds like you're weighing the pros and cons carefully, which is great!

I’d play at longer distance, but hunting would be primarily 500 yards or less. I'd go .22 ARC. For anything up to deer it's quite capable, projectiles are slightly less money, and less recoil. In fact, some would be happy using it on elk.
