Hi, I have tried various searches but haven't really found what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for opinions/advise on the terminal performance of the 375, 350 SMK on game animals.

How do they compare to the 300 SMK, I understand they may be tougher, but I'm unsure as to whether they will be suitable or not.

I will have a couple of chamberings up & running soon to try them & the 330 CE bullets in.

I will probably be running them at 28-3000fps, not sure yet.

What twist rate will they stand ?

Cheers Greg.

I'm trying to find out how the .375 calibre, 350 Sierra Match King performs on animals.

Does it have similar performance to the .338 300 SMK projectile ?

There is very little information available on this subject.

I have fired plenty of CE projectiles but considering their cost compared to the SMK, I'm sure that some of my clients would prefer to shoot the SMKs.

If this post isn't in the right area please point me in the right direction

Re: 350 SMK Terminal Performance

A good thing to test bullets to see how they perform on animals is to shoot through a stable or bounch of wet news papers. Will give you a indication of wound channel and cavitation.

Or if you have 4-5 of the old telephone books. Soak them for some hours.

Re: 350 SMK Terminal Performance

Well, given a 338LM 300 SMK can drop (DRT) any animal native to north america inside 1000 yards, I don't think there is any question other than shot placement remaining.
