So the Chinese service cartridge(5.8x42mm) chambered Chinese service rifles are not exported/allowed to be sold/exported to anyone apparently.. neither ally nor neutral nor foes/potential foes...

anyone know anything about the round and the Chinese service rifles/carbines chambered in said round? Maybe Jane's Defense has atleast somewhat of a inside scoop on these rifles and their chambering? Is there anything special about the round? Or is it just typical obvious silly commies being obvious silly commies? And creating artificial mystique around a chambering that aint anything special...
???
Thoughts?

Design was focused on penetrating armour from the outset. Little consideration of the wound channel but yaws as expected with no fragmentation or deformation. Still quite nasty. Initially offered as light and heavy loadings, replaced by an intermediate weight load said to improve the ability to defeat body armor at range. Initial assessment was that the claims had a propaganda component and the actual performance falls short but it is still a decent improvement over the 7.62x39 and 5.45x 39.
