Does anyone have any experience with the Lapua 123gr Scenar Silver Jacket bullets? The BC is identical to the copper jacket. they apparently don't load it in their own ammo, but do offer it as a component. Also identified as a GB489 (same as the copper jacket)....and more expensive.

I apologize for not being more thorough. I understand the4 moly I leant was there a noticeable/measurable difference in performance. Lapua doesn't use it in their own ammo,so there are no ballistic tables from tehm for comparison...Sorry

Moly will reduce friction in the barrel. It is said to lead to better barrel life. However, it also lowers pressure which means you will need to up your charge weight a touch to get the same velocities as uncoated bullets. I have never shot them myself.

As an aside; some people have an issue with a ring forming in front of the chamber and doing nasty things to barrels. Do a google search. Hexagonal Boron Nitride is the new go to, has the same advantages as moly, and will not leave the ring. Others on here have shot them to great success.
