The 6 sst was brought to life today by Eric Goss AxisWorks Tempe Az He ran some virgin prepped brass (300 saum parent) with 110 Sierra's and 58-61 grains Retumbo @ 2.883 coal. Velocity ran 3300-3475. It looks like about 55.5 grains will run max PRS velocity at very mild pressure, and we expect, good barrel life. Eric said that 8 different loads with magspeed bayo attached went under 1"!

Any data or recommendation using 4350 in the 6 SST? I have a TON of 4350 that I use in my 6xc but might be looking to put that on some steroid and beef up to the 6sst. If i could push the Berger 115 VLD hunter 3000-3100 FPS I'd be set.

It will do that with ease. Thats a fast powder for the sst, but it will run that fast on a lot of different fuels. Probably start around 50 grains.
My predictions in no particular order.
A) Barrel life of 500-800 rounds at 'normal' pressure
B) Barrel life of 1200-1800 rounds at PRS limit
C) Carbon fouling building pressure after 50 rounds w/o cleaning
D) Bullets start blowing up about 500 rounds in
Probably laser flat trajectories though.
