Are there any snipers here using this bullet in a 223? If so I am curious as to
what AOL you might be using..I set might today at the aol listed in the manual.
Which is a long jump..Want to load some working longer,so would appreciate
what you may be using. Myloads with reloder 15 average arounf 2 1/2 inch at
300..But I want better than that if possible..thanks..

Need to give out more info like the gun your uesing and brass and pirimer combo with powder and any chronograph speed your recording.

MK262 at one point used Nosler 77s with a cannelure. They were loaded, I believe, to 2.245-2.250". The 77gr Nosler CC or SMK is very jump-tolerant, so just load it to a length that's reliable for functioning thru your magazines. You're sub-MOA right now, so depending on what you're running it in, be happy. If you want smaller groups, let us know what rifle, chamber etc and someone on here can point you in a good direction.

A "go-to" load was 23.5gr TAC in a LC case with Rem 7 1/2 primer loaded to 2.250". Currently I use 23.5gr 8208XBR behind the 75gr BTHP at 2.250". I wasn't getting much better than 2670fps with 24.5/RE15 or 24.8/Varget in my 18" MK12. The 77s like speed. 23.5/8208 gets me 2750fps and the rifle shoots a consistent 3/4-1 moa from the magazine ... not just best group of the day.

this is a savage action with bull barrelby Mcgowin..26inch.7 twist wylde chamber..BOLT of course. I shoot single shot only as you have to single
feed in the f class here..Sightron 36 x scope.4 oz timmney trigger.Win or Rem brass. The Rem does not seem to stretch like the Win does..
Also CCI primers..To date I seen to be getting the best with Reloder 15.All load testing is done at 300 yards..

Since you're single feeding, I'd start at 0.015 to 0.020 off the rifling, assuming that leaves approx .224 in the case (measured above the boattail). Then test deeper from there.

My only exp with Nosler 77 is some blems I got a few years ago. Just using my data from 77 smk, they didn't shoot as well as SMK or Horn 75 HPBT. I think they were listed as cosmetic blems, but I may be mistaken.
