Anyone shot this bullet at elr distances? I know it doesn't have the best bc but I'm finding that certain bullet designs may perform better when hitting transonic speeds just because they are less likely to pitch and yaw which may translate into more consistent accuracy. While the current trend has most bullet manufacturers going head to head to spit out bullets with the highest bc, it seems that if you are going to shoot at distances that allow your bullet to remain supersonic, then this is a good thing. However, once the bullet leaves that velocity window the design that was an advantage may prove to hurt performance.
Lapua does not seem to care about the current bc war and the older sierra matchking designs with 7-8 caliber boattails and fairly blunt nose profiles all seem to have been put on the back burner in favor of the latest bc craze. Would be interesting to compare performance of both at speeds below mach 1.2.
So just curious if anyone has had good results with this bullet.
