Don't buy them..especially when Mako Group are selling mags for $18. Let your wallet dictate where you spend your hardearned dollars. CTD has never gotten a dollar from me in all these years.

Here was my message to CTD today:

Tragic events often impact the market value of resources for a short period of time. Some people are very quick to take advantage of this situation. Others continue business as usual and just try to supply their customers in a time of need. This "assault weapons" ban has created just such an opportunity for people in the trade. I have yet to come across a reputable retailer that is doubling or tripling their prices for customers to boost profits in the short term......until now. Now that I know what your company is all about (making a quick buck above all else) I am committed to making sure that you never receive another dollar from me, my family, my friends or anyone else that I ever speak to or come in contact with on the internet. I hope that your short term price gouging tactic ends up being a devastating blow to your business so that other retailers (who have focused entirely on delivering product to valuable customers) will thrive and grow. You have shown no loyalty to me or your other customers in our time of need; I hope your previous customers prove to do the same for you.

wow. wonder if anyone will hear a resonable response from the company or not. I assume they hope we will all forget how ridiculous they are being and when push comes to shove later on just cave and buy things again...but its not just unethical it's a great way to commit suicide as a business

That's ridiculous if that's intentional.

I have no proof they do this, but in their defense a lot of companies use a simple computer algorithm that farms all the competition prices it can find on the internet and then automatically adjusts product prices to match what it finds. This is often why you'll see simple items on Amazon.com be listed at crazy prices, because two sellers will use the same computer program and they ping back and forth and the price keeps going up and up. FWIW

Just unsubscribed. Will never buy from CTD again.

Normally some price increases due to supply and demand doesn't bother me that much, but these guys are the absolute kings of price gouging.

If so, it's a bad assumption on their part. CTD used to have rather unique inventory and decent prices. In the last couple of years their inventory and prices looks like everyone else. There is no reason to stay.

I was impressed with the $39.95 price on the Korean-made 15-round M1 Carbine mags. It's actually a good mag. But before the craziness, they were $9.95. I think AIM still has them for that price.

File a complaint with the BBB. They already have a "C" rating so we might as well take it down to an "F" so everyone knows they just want to FUCK YOU! That Texas dirt mush cost about the same as gold per ounce.

I received one of their catalogs in the mail the other day. I wrote "refused, return to sender" on it and put it back in the mailbox!

If I'm not mistaken it should be sent back to them and they will pay postage again. Enough of those and the mailroom might bring it to managements attention.

I have not bought from then since Obama was elected in 2008. There was a big rush on all black rifles / high cap at that time and they jacked up prices overnight. Good idea on the return to sender with the catalogs, mine have been going in the trash
