Hi guys. I am honored to be involved with the great community we have here.

Im a pretty closed person in regards to personal stuff, but things have been interesting over the last year. I think it is finally time to tell my story and how things come out.

CDiPrecision is doing well, and working on some new products(Long action Tikka T3 and Howa 1500 LA) I work hard every day to keep folks happy and take care of my customers. Thank you so much for your support.

Last July I left my wife of 15 years. I have 2 daughters and it was a pretty traumatic time for me. I just could not deal with the lack of respect and trust she had for me, and her controlling ways, i was over it. I was just a factory rat to her.

A lot of headache later, Divorce is final in April 2011. I kept my Business and she got the house, was a good tradeoff for me.

I dated some people and met a nice woman. was with her from Sept till May or so. She was nice but just ignored me. too involved with her personal and work stuff, so that just did not work for me.

Then I dated some more and finally found the woman of my dreams. Shes tall and hot and totally into me, in a way I have never experienced before. She loves me for me, and not anything else. I am amazed someone could have that kind of love for someone, as I never experienced that before. She loves my kids and they love her..wow I'm so lucky.

So on Aug 31, I proposed to her and we are getting married in Feb of 2012(this is what were thinking so far).

So now onto the next chapter of my life, and looking to grow old with this woman. Things are great and get better every day.

Thanks for listening. I know this is an odd post but I just wanted to tell my friends here.:)

Jeff

Nice to hear you've made a happy beginning, too.

As long as folks keep listening, the rest will follow...

If I have anything to offer after 41 years and still getting better; that would be about it...

Sometimes things don't work out the way we plan and you have to make some hard decisions. Its been my experience that good women are truly few and far between. I'm glad you found one and wish you and your family the absolute best! I look forward to new products from CDI and whatever else the future holds for our community.

Re: A little about me and the last year @CDiprecision

work on the friendship first... don't rush into marriage. Hell it's only a piece of paper. If you truly love each other you don't need to be married.

Yes I am married but mostly cause her parents preferred it. We had every intention of it but it wasn't THE thing we needed to do. It was more for others than US as a couple.

Jus' sayin'

But hey, I've been where you are and good for you! Glad to see you are happy. Enjoy it for what it is.

I'm sorry things didn't work out with #1 and am happy that you found a woman that does make you happy. I still tell people about your outstanding bottom metal and how you made that Choate stock right for me, truly excellent customer service.

Fair winds and following seas for you and your family.

It sounds like you are a very lucky man.

Among those who have done it, they tell me that their second marriage is the happiest one.

It's important to recognize unpleasant truths and to take positive, decisive action to remedy them. The costs are bad enough without combining them with lingering misery.

Marriage may well be just a piece of paper, but the reality of the step is always profoundly changing. People can cohabit enthusiastically for years, but the day after the wedding, it really is a whole new ball game. Every time I've seen people do it, this one truth has become abundantly clear.

Marrige is both simple and difficult, all at the same time. How much of each is actually a simple choice.

For me, it was the consequence of the realization that life is gonna cost me plenty whether I enjoy it or not, so it probably pays to work diligently at the former. The opposite is simply deliberate self defeat. Lots of people do that, but you really don't have to.

Congrats Jeff, I was very fortunate to have found a woman like that 30yrs ago. And she is still by my side. Don't think I'd be lucky enough to find another like her in this lifetime.

Enjoy the journey bro!!!

Congratulations Jeff, it is always good to hear stories with happy endings. I hope your marriage works out as well as mine has: 11 years and still in the honeymoon phase.

Life has funny ways of doing things. It looks like you have a solid place with a damn good family Jeff. You know from experience that for each of tehose good days there will be some bad ones, but there is always a smile during those bad days. It comes when you look at each other, and both of you realize that this day of bad will always be why there are som many great days ahead.
Smile, look at it all, then fire up a nice cigar, pour a good pour, and say,"Ahhhhhhhh, Life is good!"
