Asking for a friend...Plot twist.... he's the cerakoter that lost parts
" A friend of mine...did this thing...."
Thanks for all the replies guys. Hoping Kent can maybe come up with something. I’ll maybe try and reach out to WinTac. Thanks for that tip Tyler. I don’t want to bash the cerakote shop. They know they fucked up. But I’m more focused on the solution right now
Shooting my first local match with my new to me ATX. Shot 48 rounds the other day sighting in and testing existing loads of 6GT 109s. Shot decent. Speeds a little spread out but I think that's the new barrel and loads from another platform.
Done three times that in dry firing. I hope I can do this stick it's due this season. It will out shoot me. Even if I do my part.
I had issues with AW mags I had, turns out they were AW mags for R700 footprint actions. Bought two ATX optimized mags from MH earlier this week. They needed some rounds ran through them to break in so Ive ran about 150 between the two of them, just an empty case and some take down 109s I have. Im up to about 90-95% feed rate. So definitely think just getting them worn in will be the ticket. They have 7 layer spring instead of the other 4 layer. Really stiff when I got them. But they have loosened a little, feel a little stronger than a PMAG follower spring tension. If you don't mind: How are you getting the 6GT to feed reliably from your mags? I have both followers in my mags, and if I don't load the cartridges forward (to where the base of the case is even with the back of the feed lips) my rounds will nosedive about 10% of the time. That was with 105 hybrids...I messed around with 95gr Noslers and feeding was just abysmal.
My workaround is fine for range plinking, but there's no way I'm ever going to use it for serious things as is. FWIW I have zero issues with my 6 and 6.5CM barrels and feeding.
Grey ops 6gt mag should fix your issue. If you don't mind: How are you getting the 6GT to feed reliably from your mags? It will fix it, I use one for 6BRA in my AT-X.Thanks, I'm going to have to look into this.
Actually, I just ordered one. Fingers crossed.

Thanks!Altus had a 12rd in stock (yesterday). Not sure if still available.
Do you have the newest follower?I'm currently having feeding issues with a Gray Ops mag and 6 Dasher. Works perfectly until the last three rounds and then starts hanging up. Mag is back w/Gray Ops and they're helping me with troubleshooting. Good to see more people are using them successfully, so hopefully it's something I can get sorted out. The Dasher barrel is an absolute laser.

I actually run the 6gt factory hornady and standard AI AX and AW mags with no issues once I put a round of tape on the back of my mags. This raises the back of the mag up slightly and tighter in the mag well. This runs flawlessly for me for several years. Adjustable mag catch would be ideal.Do you have the newest follower?

That same tape been on for 2 yearsPicture please.
Whats the barrel profile on your rifle here? 1.25"?
You can just buy one off their site. It’s not the complete gun. So I don’t believe you need a department’s letterhead or approval.Your Department wrote a letter that it was for your duty use?
That won't work for an AI AT-X.![]()

I have a short ATX with 18", approx 3" of clearance.
I'm guessing from the second, that the first is an imprecise statement.I thought you were inquiring about the AICS/ATX chassis
Oh--and no fucking shit
Why not just buy a short foreend AICS chassis, swap your foreend out, and then resell the AICS chassis with your old long foreend? Are the AICS and AI pattern ATX chassis incompatible in the fore end fit?The pixie dust unicorn.

I don't have either mine in front me at the moment, but I'm quite certain the forend is enteral to the chassis on my atx, as well as the several aics atx chassis I have. Where have you found options of length other than just the different length mirage covers? I know aics arc short forend chassis have been advertised, however I have never saw one.Why not just buy a short foreend AICS chassis, swap your foreend out, and then resell the AICS chassis with your old long foreend? It's likely that I am missing something because I am scratching my head at why this is so complicated. Short foreend ATX AICS chassis are in stock at Mile High. Buy this, swip swap just the forend piece and resell it with your legacy ATX long forend installed. But again, I must be missing something. Like the fore end is solid back through the inlet and can't be swapped out with a 700 inlet ACSI don't have either mine in front me at the moment, but I'm quite certain the forend is enteral to the chassis on my atx, as well as the several aics atx chassis I have. You are. The forend also becomes the bedding surface under the action portion (and the magwell/trigger guard bolts to it)It's likely that I am missing something because I am scratching my head at why this is so complicated. Agreed.but it would be much easier to just chop your forend...
I am an LH AI shooter. Truer words were never said....but it's a custom order that you'll wait 2 years for, or may never get!![]()
