The AXSR is being painted at the moment, went in to visit the Australian AI distributor today Delta Tactical to suss out the new AICS AXSR chassis, man they are so clean and refined.
They are delivered factory painted by AI, but they also do in house cerakoting.
We got a black AXSR 300WM & 300PRC barrel, it’ll come back with a camouflage pattern.
Sad to the see the AI grip out for a Ergo? I guess it’s nice to have options but I still like the AI feel in my hand. Not sure why it gets a bad review from folks.

Got out and shot a mile with some shooting buddies yesterday.
We were all able to make hits on steel with multiple calibers (6CM, 6.5x47, 6.5CM, 300NM, 338NM) at distances of 1560, 1660 and 1760.
Once dialed in the AXSR in 300NM
Was able to land 9 out of 10 shots
In a respectable size group at 1760.

Just got the GTAC grip mod and installed it with the Ergo grip. It does make it more comfortable and just love the thumb rest. Now my rifle just feels perfect. I know I won’t shoot it any better but it does feel nicer to get behind. Now I like it better than the AXSR due to the 3 stage bolt safety and it has the Ergo grip which I like better than the old AI grip. Hope to get it on the range soon.

That red drew shooters from across the course to see the new AT-Xs when AI attended our PRS match. The AIs clearly stood out = marketing genius.
It may not be the primary reason, but U.S. pre-order dealer feedback allows AI to gauge customer color choice so they could produce to those percentages. ETA - I'm speculating on this one, I have no inside knowledge whatsoever.

Yeah, there was a guy there you know who pried it out of my hands with some lame excuse he had to go sight it with a 300NM barrel.
I'm old, I never could have out run him with that 24lbs of sheer goodness. Plus he had backup...

Finally posting my AT with AX conversion...
The conversion changes the look quite a bit. Not better or Worse. Just makes the rifle look built for a different purpose (tactical?). A little more modern? I like the stock look a lot, but mine wasnt a folder.
I also wasn't keen on getting pale brown AX conversion since the colors don't match at all in my view.
Handloads at 100 yards pic. I dont know the MOA of the group... but i know the SD of 6 is pretty dang sweet!
