Yep the magazine versions were called CISMmasters and Swissmasters, but they weren't all stamped with those nicknames. Btw if you were to cut out a hole for a magazine into a Palmamaster for a PRS stock but you still occasionally want to shoot the wooden stock, you'd have to modify it as it's probably only got 4 clearance holes for the front and middle pair of screw holes on the action - cutting out a hole for a magazine cuts through the middle screw holes so you're left with only the front and rear screw holes like modern AIs.

I'm still trying to source a short action AI stock for it, but Jack from JR rifles has done the cut outs before without issue (photos of his work above, and the underside of my Palmamaster attached) so I'm hopeful it won't be a problem.
Unfortunately while I'd love to keep it as is, I don't see a future where I shoot full-bore competition and having looked into it (the armoury at Bisley suggested asking G E Fulton & Son) was told it'd only be worth £500-600. Unfortunately not enough for me to get a comparatively good replacement.
Answering IK6243 from earlier, I also spoke to Mik from Dolphin about putting it in an ELR or Tactical stock - something he was very happy to do as a single shot but said that machining the chassis to fit a repeating action would take a weeks work and too many chassis! I'm sure Jack could do this but unfortunately I can't afford numerous attempts

Always gotta remind myself that the entire world isnt 80 million degrees outside from may to oct lol. It was tripping me out seeing someone running a jacket in August but nice pics.
As for the cerakote, tungsten and black would be sick. I did bullshark grey and black on my last one turned out better than I expected.
If I had to do my vision swap over I would have used release agent on the action so I could easily pull the action from the chassis in the future.

I know it sucks. Not going to use my other 30 cals suppressors and going to wait for the Gen 2 SR to be approved. I just don't trust any of my other suppressors to handle the 300NM. That's just an AW 1.0 style that has been bastardized by having all the protective coating stripped off and been polished up nice and bright.
Look for an AW 2.0 with the original English barrel on it in good condition, with all the original coatings.
That one was probably unbonded from the chassis and mucked with to get all the polishing done.
A1. Great shooting rifle great barrel retention / zero retention after barrel swaps like dead on always. And short.
But AI is more reliable as far as feeding and bolt is much more natural.
Desert tech best for equipment or vehicular operations where the short length helps. Also good for hunting / ELR where a immediate follow up shot isn’t as important.
Absolutely! The AW 2.0 and Border barrels were the best! I should have never sold the 2 I had. The ATs I have owned are very nice, but IMO the AW was better and all of the Border barrels I owned were HAMMERS!

Question to the AI peoples. Was having this conversation with a friend and Hide member. Why isn't the AX bipod more popular? You almost never seen them used. Only see them in the AI official rifle pics and that's about it. Does it still flop around like the original Parker Hale/Versapod style bipod? Do the feet spin? The flopping around part wouldn't bother me one but since I shot the AW with the OG bipod for years and never minded using it.

I can shoot right handed but when I spend that much coin on a rifle, I get what I want. They made a dumb decision not making LH models when they went to the A2. I don't know the differences between A1 and A2. I have seen LH A1s come up occasionally. Who knows
