QQ for the group

Did the original competition trigger that AI put out differ from what they are selling today? I am not talking about the ones on the AT-X or AXSR but the one you can buy as an accessory for ~$600.

My AXSR came with an empty bag for the X-TSP AI trigger so presumably that's what is in there :)

Finally got my hands on an AXMC from another user on here. Hoping the large firing pin won’t be an issue even though I’ll be shooting 6.5. Have to say the action and trigger feel amazing.

Hornady is your friend. Although being in your shoes as well, I would love to know what you find out.

Thanks! This is different than what is on my package and looks to be specific for the AXSR
The AXSR trigger housing is specific to the AXSR. In addition to the plate and 2 bolts that usually attach the AI triggers the AXSR also has a roll pin attaching the trigger housing as a backup in case the bolts work loose. On the top of the trigger housing there are 2 ears sticking up and a roll pin goes through those ears and pins the housing to the chassis.

I think the guts of the AXSR trigger are the same as the regular comp trigger. And I have no idea if the regular trigger would install into the AXSR, I've never been brave enough to tap out my roll pin to try it out.

Not any more — they are out of green folding as of 1545 EST.

I (ahem) bought two fixed green ones. One to experiment with that Atlas monopod as a bag-rider and the other in case I crack my existing one. I own a folder but was going to just cut them to fit.

And then the next morning they had folding ones available. So I bought two, as I am lazy.

So instead of returning them across the pond, I might have a couple fixed green ones for sale fairly soon…haven’t arrived yet. Can’t promise you anything as we’ll see how good I am at 7 axis dremel work.

Fellow AXMC 6.5CM enjoyer here:

Hornady uses large rifle primers in their 6.5 eld match line but that line also gets like 100fps ES in the same lot so.... Tradeoffs

Enough of this 6.5Creammoore nonsense. You should all be ashamed of yourselves…today of all days.

Happy 308 day to those men shooting 308 out of their long action safe kweens
Surprised that comp trigger hasn't failed under the recoil of that brass balled 308

If you have issues with primers, or don't want to take a chance, LRI does great work bushing AI bolts with a fast turnaround. I have LRI bushed 308 and 300wm bolts for my AXMC, way cheaper than buying complete new factory SFP bolts (I sent the LFP 300wm bolt that came with my AXMC in for bushing before AI released the SFP AXMC bolts, and I picked up the 308 bolt body off the PX here already bushed by LRI for $250... bargain!)

I used to play this PC game called Arma a bunch, and with the right mods enabled it has fairly realistic ballistics. To get accurate hits with all the realism mods enabled you have to use real world equipment like Kestrels and range finders in realistic ways ... e.g. you have to hold your Kestrel into the wind to get accurate readings and the wind shifts with terrain and ever changing weather. You can even catch trace in your optic under the right circumstances and you have breath control, wobble and all that to deal with as well. With a little bit of tinkering in the mission editor you can turn it into a fun little wind call trainer for a variety of reticles and with the right mods you can even run an AI AXMC in .308, .338LM or .300WM ... figured y'all might get a chuckle out of this.

That SB with msr2 reticle tho.... Some designer has class

Well, the AXMC turned into an AXSR. The Pantone SB turned into a Razor, and either the 300WM or the 338LM barrel got swapped for a 6.5CM. BUT, the 6.5 barrel even has an appropriate serial number and AI logo in the correct locations.

He trains so it evens out in my nerd assessment lol... But protect your neck and watch those heel hooks

Nice! Honestly purple belt is the most fun belt so I don't blame you. I spent 6 years at blue due to moving around for work quite a bit at the time so I was 8 years in already when I got my purple and it was one of those "someone please promote this asshole already" type things. They'll probably force a brown belt on you eventually stripes or no stripes ;)

I did this in multiplayer so I could do some range estimation/unknown distance sniping with the tremor 3 reticle in a king of the hill gamemode.
