Ok I thought the AT needed the 26793, if the legacy will fit…. Just need a hex key to alter rather than thumb wheel?

It’s like the AX buttpad with the wheel. BL means black. Don’t know any specs about the 1044.What is that 26793BL? Is it the Legacy 1044 but with a thumb wheel like the AX stocks?
Man it is up there at 100s here in TX pretty brutal too95+ at the range yesterday, good cooling is going to be mandatory all summer long:

Fyi I found out that cheap clear vinyl tubing (or whatever it is) stiffens up like a mo fo in cold weather. Becomes totally useless.
And yeah, the barrel cools faster in cold weather than in hot. But it cools even quicker aided by my Ryobi.
I need to source something else. Silicone? Any ideas? Looks like @Kiba used silicone…and where did you guys get your little filter apparatuses?

Out of stock...DAMNI wanted a quick-adjust pad like my AX has. Graeme at Sporting Services told me this about my AT:
“What you require is a Target butt pad #26793, this is the wheel version for the AT rifle/ AT AICS kits.”FWIW
Had one on my AT-X, they’re good to go.Anyone running steel proof barrels on their AI? any good?
24” comp contour in 6 Creed shoots great.Anyone running steel proof barrels on their AI? any good?
I just had a PROOF competition contour barrel spun up for my AT, chambered in 308, 1:10 twist, and 26" long. It is a beast at almost 8 pounds and shoots as well as any of my Krieger or BartleinsAnyone running steel proof barrels on their AI? any good?
I bought one of those, as well as the Ryobi inflator. I'm liking the Ryobi due to form, fit and function and will be testing it today out on Ironman.FYI, here's my setup with the flextail mattress inflator and CPAP filter. I bent thin wall 9mm OD x 0.5mm wall brass tubing to go into the chamber, short end of the tubing for short actions and long end for long actions, just flip it around in the vinyl tubing. 9mm od brass tubing is a close fit into a .223 chamber and works in everything else that's larger.

Who makes the UK Factory barrels for AI now? Is it Bartlein?I just had a PROOF competition contour barrel spun up for my AT, chambered in 308, 1:10 twist, and 26" long. It is a beast at almost 8 pounds and shoots as well as any of my Krieger or Bartleins
Yup, it's captive held. No screw. Just screw your buttplates tighter.Dumb question, but easy answer, I’m sure.
The rear u-shaped flush cup sling mount right by an AT buttpad, is there supposed to be a screw holding that in?
View attachment 8429649
The one on my AT is just held captive by the plastic buttpad spacer (once the spacer & pad are screwed against the buttstock).
The flush cup thing is a little loose and wiggles.
Huh. Weird. Thx!Yup, it's captive held. No screw. Just screw your buttplates tighter.
"If overthinking was a thread..."Huh. Weird. Thx!
There’s a little round rubber plug/pad under the u-shaped flush cup that looks like it’s covering up a hole. If memory serves (can’t get to my gun right now) there’s a corresponding hole on the u-shaped thing. Oh well.
I’ve resorted to putting some thick tape behind the “U” to snug it up.
Since I’m bored and idle here’s another stupid-ass near-meaningless question: the buttpad spacers’ screw holes are actually cone-shaped. Are you putting the narrow bit of the cone towards the muzzle or towards the buttpad? I’m guessing the former so it’s easier to locate the hole with the screw when attaching the buttpad.
But the hell I know?
Beers and couches and rain on the rooftop and darkness and silence will do that to a man lol"If overthinking was a thread..."

The question is why would you want to, and for what calibre? So that leaves me to ask: How do I go about ordering a new UK made barrel for my AT?
A classic LW barrel that has both a crown mark and says "7.62" instead of ".308" is exactly what I wish to find. The question is why would you want to, and for what calibre?
It’s still up in the air if AI have fixed their own AI homemade barrels. So why take the risk, when you can have a lovely Bartlein one?
If you only wanted a .308 barrel I’m sure Sporting Services have a stock of older, but brilliant LW made barrels which used to come on all their guns years ago.
I recently sold my low mileage LW 7.62 barrel in the PX. You can always look there as well.A classic LW barrel that has both a crown mark and says "7.62" instead of ".308" is exactly what I wish to find.
It is not just about practicality, but collect-ability. Sure, I'm more than happy to run a very nice 2018+ Barlein/Win barrel in 1:10 twist. But I wish to take care of the original parts as well.
How many of you today wish you could get a spare original AW barrel for your AW today?
Sporting Services UK it is then...

I bought a barrel from sporting services. I paid for it but I have to find an importer for the barrel. So that’s something to think about.A classic LW barrel that has both a crown mark and says "7.62" instead of ".308" is exactly what I wish to find.

I'll keep my eyes peeled in the PX then.I recently sold my low mileage LW 7.62 barrel in the PX. You can always look there as well.
Yes sir and it’s shooting great on its new home . Same load as my other LW barrel and about 50FPS fasterI recently sold my low mileage LW 7.62 barrel in the PX. You can always look there as well.
I am glad it worked out!Yes sir and it’s shooting great on its new home . Same load as my other LW barrel and about 50FPS faster
I know it doesn’t say “7.62”, but for general interest my 2023 AT bought this year from Eurooptic has this Brit stamp:A classic LW barrel that has both a crown mark and says "7.62" instead of ".308" is exactly what I wish to find.

I like the black recoil pad. I’ve got one hanging around and will follow suit on my sage green AX. As they say “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”

I don’t pretend to know what it means…found some shotgun proof mark references but they relate to using steel shot or not.
This is exactly the barrel I have, same markings, also says 7.62. Do you happen to know who makes these barrels so I can get a matching 24" version?Just means Proofed to CIP Nitro standards. By Birmingham Proof house in 2023.
HKSniper11B - You might want to extend your search, the barrels your looking for might not have a crown on, signifying Birmingham Proof house, entirely likely you could London Proof house markings like below:
I’ve got two. They’re both Walther barrels if I recall, my original was the factory barrel. The other I bought as an extra barrel with the intent of cutting down/threading the OG. Shouldn’t be hard to find on the marketplace if you’re patient! This is exactly the barrel I have, same markings, also says 7.62. Lol i knew one of you would strike… Fair play!^ I see you trying to camouflage that Mk5 so that nobody would notice it...
Nice rifle
I’m taking my NF off and putting it onto a mk12 for a more appropriate optic for mammoth. A mk5 is on the way to replace it . Hard to argue the mk5 especially with the discount for me . I’ll spray paint mine and put a NF QC sticker on itLol i knew one of you would strike… Fair play!
I do well with them man.
