You can get a new AXSA for that price from some of the vendors here at the hide..is $7,000.00 for an axsa with proof carbon barrel in 6cm (likely 300-400 rds top) high? Local dude is selling it, i wanted to price check.

Well crap. Now you’re going to make me have to put one of my ES barrels on one of my SG rifles, and vice versa.Sage green is a lovely color… for a dining room, especially with a light hardwood flooring.
Now if it was Elite Sage that would be something…
lol they all look the same after you get the krylon outWell crap. Now you’re going to make me have to put one of my ES barrels on one of my SG rifles, and vice versa.
Good point. Although…what was stopping him from setting up on his mate’s right shoulder?Nobody going to mention +1 for weakside trigger break?
(Or do you think his LH bolt is still on backorder?)
Maybe they edited it?
Here you go…@carbonbased idk how to take stills from video but there’s a split second where you can see the gun from the left side, and the covered suppressor.
The sound suppression in that video is mind boggling to me. It sounds like my 9mm subsonic pcc with mic behind the shooter. Idk how they didn’t get supersonic crack bouncing off all the walls and ceiling. The flash bangs were quiet too. Maybe they edited it?
I'd say given they said they train it that it was deliberate...I’d love to know what scope he was using, how close it focuses, and what the low end of the mag range is and if it’s ffp or sfp.
Speculate he prob thought he was clear of the monitor and got lucky. I’d take some risky shots but barrier penetration with hostage on either side is way past gas station sushi
Thank you so much, was struggling to order a new barrel since my old AW Lothar Walther shoots that good. Always wanted a 26" barrel instead of my 24" though. The question is why would you want to, and for what calibre?
It’s still up in the air if AI have fixed their own AI homemade barrels. So why take the risk, when you can have a lovely Bartlein one?
If you only wanted a .308 barrel I’m sure Sporting Services have a stock of older, but brilliant LW made barrels which used to come on all their guns years ago.
That's actually really f×cking cool.Thank you so much, was struggling to order a new barrel since my old AW Lothar Walther shoots that good. Always wanted a 26" barrel instead of my 24" though.
Just received a mail from sporting services uk, i will get two original PSG 90 LW barrels in 26" threaded M18 in 308. They sent me a picture aswell. Great customer service indeed.
Happy days!

I have no opinion about the SWAT sniper’s skill. But if he was lucky, it’s oft better to be lucky than good.I think he got lucky.
1. Most cops don't train, even swat guys.
2. Who's going to go on TV & say, 'Yeah we really never train for a scenario like this so I was totally sweating this shot!'
Good for him though. I had a first round impact at around 1,000 yards in 15ish mph winds that wow'd my friends... I saw no reason to inform them that I got pretty lucky, haha!
1.=This is fair considering most departments aren’t busy enough for their city/county to justify the cost (even though the public’s expectation is always the same and the officers/teams should hold their standards as such. working in bum fuck nowhere with not as good equipment isn’t an excuse to suck). I’m retired from a busy/good sized dept in the Central Valley of gang land CA and we trained every week and felt it still wasn’t enough for our tempo. Whole team every other, sniper every other. So if you were on the sniper team it was every week and we were burning barrels on AI’s and training/competing often.I think he got lucky.

I still like harris and have quite a few of them. For the cost they can't be beat. This was on a 18+# m40a5 running prs type matches for a season. That’s definitely a failure. Never say never I guess. I just didn’t see it in my time. They impressed me enough that I still use em mostly. Except for on my AI. I will say I plan on trying one of the cool competition oriented bipods now that I can pick/use my own stuff.
Looking closer at the shot and it is even harder than I thought.
General presentation of subject to sniper earlier.

About 11 seconds before the shot at 1:31, subject bobs head up high. A mistake.

He lowers his head from view, bobs it around, and 11 seconds later, blammo (see prev post for view).
1727 Match, Out in the wild, I've had mine since March.Saw this on Facebook, an Anschutz 1927 in an AI stock. Anyone know anything about a release date?

Is anyone else running into an issue feeding the last round from a .308 AXSR mag? The first 9 feed perfect, but the last round typically gets hung up.
I’m reasonably certain it’s the follower getting in the way because of the last round hold open, but wanted to see if the experts here have run into this and have a fix before I bust out the 7-axis CNC and massacre a follower.
Same. 3 mags here, no hold open and no feeding issues.@Part Timer I have 3 .308 AXSR mags and all run perfectly without tweaking. These mags shouldnt have last round hold open tho. Sounds like one of your feed lips is jacked up and is positioning the follower too high.
Looks like as I said, your feed lip looks off and like it's barely containing the follower.I could see the rear of the feed lips being bowed out a bit to allow the follower to rise.

Two different mags, the third is the same.
Gets hung up exactly where? You say you are "reasonably certain" it's the follower. You should be able to watch the feed and know exactly where it's hanging. You can't fix it unless you know where the problem is. Put one round ("last round") in the mag, feed it slowly and watch for where it is hanging. I have an AXMC that had problems feeding 300NM, but not 338LM or 6.5CM. Additionally, it only hung up on the odd-numbered rounds in the mag (1,3,5, etc). One would naturally think it was the mag. It turned out that by watching it, I found it was a "step" in the two-piece feed ramp on the side in front of the odd-numbered rounds in the mag. The lock ring at the rear of the action was slightly misaligned and creating the step, and the bullet tip of the 230 Bergers in the 300NM would catch on it (no problem with the other cartridges). Run the bolt full-speed and the tips would skip over the step and feed. Run it slow and they would catch/not feed. No amount of mag-tweaking would fix it. It had to go back to AI to smooth the step out, no problems since. I would not have noticed the step if I hadn't run the bolt slowly and watched for where it was hanging up.Is anyone else running into an issue feeding the last round from a .308 AXSR mag? Nope...all good with 5 different mags purchased over 2 years. I shoot 308 or 6.5 CM out of them.Is anyone else running into an issue feeding the last round from a .308 AXSR mag? The first 9 feed perfect, but the last round typically gets hung up.

Look for a rivet protrusion from the follower that could catch your last round .Is anyone else running into an issue feeding the last round from a .308 AXSR mag? The first 9 feed perfect, but the last round typically gets hung up.

I have four 308 mags, and have some feeding issues, mostly rounds nosediving. It's not consistent enough to find the culprit though. I suspect it's the maglips, because all 4 mags have a lot of variation in the gap, front and back.Is anyone else running into an issue feeding the last round from a .308 AXSR mag? It looks like a Nightforce, with the QC sticker still intact..I’d love to know what scope he was using, how close it focuses, and what the low end of the mag range is and if it’s ffp or sfp.

People who leave their QC stickers on are the same people that think a STAR card is a great deal. Boot fucks.

Oh yeah I can see the parallax knob from that pic.
I had a 16” Proof 308 and there may have been 1/2” between the end of the handguard and bbl threads. Can anyone tell me the shortest barrel length I can run on a factory axsa? Thanks!
Any length can be done if you do a forend snip. Can anyone tell me the shortest barrel length I can run on a factory axsa? Thanks!
Can we please start calling this mod a circumcAIsion...?Any length can be done if you do a forend snip.
Going to hack down the AXSR forend this winter and have my 308 chopped down to 16.5” for a fun shorty suppressed 308. Then finally paint the whole thing.
We have but I gots like 1/16th of meat left on this 4” disc so she be ready to work. Can we please start calling this mod a circumcAIsion...?
Also, bro, fo' real, will you let me do that for you in the lathe rather than using your 7-axis mill for this... Haven't we talked about this before?
