I have my first ever match this Saturday. I shoot a lot at my property but this is different. Any advice from AI crowd? I am all ears.
1. Be comfortable shooting around 15x magnification for a majority of the match so you can see your impacts, misses and quickly find your targets. Too much magnification can be a problem.
2. Trust yourself and equipment so that when you miss you can immediately make the necessary windage / elevation hold adjustment.
3. After the match on the drive back home or the day after write down three skills you did well and three skills you need to improve. Then pick one of those skills from the improve list and just focus on that one skill for the next match until it is comfortable for you. Then pick the next one to work on, etc.
