I love my AX but really miss my 2.0 legacy chassis when I see those thumbhole stocks. I’ll probably have to break down and buy an AT w/ the thumbhole rear end one of these days!
Would be the same I’m sure for me lol. For future reference, anyone know if any of the Mk guns be converted to thumbhole? Since this is a picture thread this is my old poor mans AI lolI miss my AT with thumbholes also, but when I had the AX and AT, the AT never got shot
Laser engraved for the team AI guysAny idea where to find these AI stickers?

Gen3xr & AI make a great combo. The tool less turrets are awesome when you have 5 barrels.

I think that depends on your plans for caliber selection.Say someone was thinking of picking up an AXMC in the spring, would the price difference to the coming AXSR be worth it from looking at the spec sheet?

Then I’d have to say no it’s not worth it. IMHO the ASXR is only worth it if you’re wanting plug and play with all the calibers long and short and not have to mess with finding extra SFP bolts or sending some out to get bushed. I don’t see any of the other “improvements” as real improvement. They made that rifle based on meeting certain criteria for a contract and not necessarily improvements from a prior design. But that’s just one mans opinion. I think snagging an AXMC at the cheaper price is for sure a good deal. I just wish where I lived I could justify one!Looking at 300 win mag and 338 lapua. Short 300 win mag barrel, probably a proof 16.5" cf.

For sure on different bolt faces I’m just speaking to already all SFP bolts. That depends on how tall you stack you gold florins yo....
The asr is like 20k with all 3 conversion I believe from Europtic not sure what the rifle and one caliber will go for when released but I would guess 12k. The bolt design is slightly different but I doubt the feel is a whole lot different than the axmc. I think the big difference is you get to swap any pistol grip you want for the ASR vs the axmc grip which you either love or live with. Obviously the rail is different but that is hardly a big deal. Trigger is the same, and rear buttstock is essentially the same.
If you can get an axmc in the 6k range with multiple calibers ready to go that is a hard deal to pass up. I love my axmc.
The guy to ask is probably @AIAW as he has them all I bet. I could be wrong but I think the asr did away with the mag conversions too but you are still using multiple bolt faces @trob_205 FYI

Thought the trigger was different? But I haven’t put hands on one.
@Huskydriver Mile High has the AXSR rifle listed at $8975 for pre-order. I’m assuming that comes with the bolt and one barrel but I can’t say for sure.
@Huskydriver ASR kits doesn't come witha .300WM bolt. No bolt parts or mags (308) part numbers for them to order as of yet, alone. And yes, the ASR Kits will come with Comp trigger which I'm going to toss out.
I think the AXSR will come with comp triggers as well. If so, I'm tossing those bitches out too. Key slot forend is a plus though
To those that for whatever reason, want to toss them out of OG chassis, it's not bonded anymore on the ASR/ AXSR. So you can put it on an MPA etc if you'd like.
@jtackmann gotta ask yourself if the $3k price difference in the AXMC to AXSR worth it to you. The AXMC value will only drop more once the SR's are readily available. Which probably looking at early 2020. Since the ASR Kits aren't done yet
@Huskydriver 308 and 338 bolts. Since it's coming with 308Win, 300NM and 338NM Barrels.
And I want to run a 300PRC on it instead....... FML
Do tell... please... was hoping my newly acquired 300 Norma was gonna make all my ELR dreams come true.I'm running a 300 Norma right now but my experience with it is leading me towards a 300 prc in the future as well.

Would the shift to a new rifle system in the AXSR for AI cause parts for the AXMC to become scarce? I'm hoping to have all 3 bolts within the year so that I can go to whatever caliber. Being the noob that I am, will the barrels have a chance of being interchangeable between the two systems (making the fear of having to hunt for barrels in the future lower)?@Huskydriver ASR kits doesn't come witha .300WM bolt. @NoLegs24
1.) ASR barrel threads are the same as AXMC?
2.) Will the ASR fore-end be available for purchase for the AX and AXMC?

Yeah. Based off the the Nightforce ELR Matches, '16 & '17 was won with a 300NM and Factory ammo. But that was Matt Brousseau and John Pynch lol. I forgot what cal won it last year. This year was a 6.5mm Magnum based. From what I saw in person from '17 - '19, guys are moving away from 300NM. Guys are going fro a 6.5 magunm or 7mm now.
Maybe Lapua brass offering for 300NM will change that, who knows.
There was a quite of bit of people shooting 300PRC with Factory Ammo and placing real well. I am waiting to see if ADG will make brass for it before I commit
This year was unique, in a sense that it was unlimited in caliber, bullet and muzzle velocity. I will say this though, dudes pushing wildcat 338 and 375's got raped... LOL. I talked to one guy shooting a 375 CheyTac, dude said he had to shoot from 7-10x out of his NF 7-35x hahaha.
Ranges was from 600 - 2100y. 2 rounds per target. All field prone.
I want another option to run a heavier caliber there besides 6.5PRC. Winds where mild this year, but we got bent over and F* last year...... used tears as lube basically with 8-40mph winds.... @hic28 can attest to it. over a dozen guys didn't show up for Day 2 *cough cough dasher shooters
Team AI guys where running 338NM in AXMC's. Scott Sigmund was running a 338LM out of the ASR. They had a loner ASR which was given to a female on Day2. She prolly got a reality check with her 338SnipeTac after Day1. I forgot what caliber Lance was running out of the AWSM
If I'm not mistaken, the NF elr match was won this year by a .408 or .416 and 2nd was a .25 SAUM 131 Blackjack
