Called MHSA this morning and the lady confirmed it is indeed a plain muzzle barrel. But she is going to check if it’s psoasible to swap a threaded barrel on before shipping. Fingers crossed.
Yeah thanks. Turns out MHSA can’t change the barrel because the description wouldn’t fit if they did. So I told them to ship it as it is and just get it threaded later. Thanks for your input!

When I bought a takeoff barrel from someone here I had the same question. I was told by Mile High that the Bartleins should be 5 groove and the Proofs are 4 groove. Not sure if that holds true across the board but that’s what they told me. Not sure about the LW barrels.
LW should have a CIP proofmark near the breech

Like axmc says, all the LW I have seen have cip marks on them
So I noticed that on MHSA, the Proof Research barrels are cheaper than Bartlin barrels. Are there any major differences? I am sure they all shoot great. But what drives the price difference?
