Do either work on a R700 AI chassis? This one is the Vision thumb rest, it works on the aluminum Vision AR-Grip panels designed for the previous-gen AI's.

The Anarchy thumb rest is for the previous-gen AT/AX/AXMC and attaches to the factory plastic grip panels.

@J-Ham you should know better!
When I bought a takeoff barrel from someone here I had the same question. I was told by Mile High that the Bartleins should be 5 groove and the Proofs are 4 groove. Not sure if that holds true across the board but that’s what they told me. Not sure about the LW barrels. How to tell if Bartlien proof or lothar walther?View attachment 7922401View attachment 7922402

Makes sense. Thank you! I know both brands are reputable. I am going to go with PR then.Proof is corporate owned. I've "heard" that they are a bigger shop and hirer a lot of tool changers to man the CNC machines. Bartlein is probably a relatively small company compared to proof. I have never had an issue with the proof barrel and one of the most accurate barrels have ever had was a proof. I think their barrels are really good but I think in the mass sample size out there Bartlein reigns as the most consistently high performing barrels. And they have a pretty big following so there's a lot of competition to buy their barrels. I think in terms of supply and demand they can charge quite a bit more because people are willing to pay that for a Bartlein barrel.
If you are relatively new to the precision rifle I would just save your duckets and get a proof barrel. I doubt you're going to see a difference between the two. You have to be reloading and shooting at a pretty high level. I think there are a lot of new shooters that agonize over this brand versus that brand and then they feed their rifles factory ammo.
Who makes this bipod and attachment? My AWM with a GAP chambered 300wm bartlein. Before and after paint.

What are the benefits of this chassis? Just curious. My buddy finally listened and bought a accuracy obsession / vision chassis for his AX.
So helped him with the install. Here is a couple pics
What are the benefits of this chassis? Just curious.
Because an AI in stock form [for PRS style competitions] is hot garbage... And it looks good. What are the benefits of this chassis? Just curious.
Got it. But I always feel the stock AX looks pretty good too.
The link will give you all the official info.
But if your shooting prs style comps with a AI it’s the way to go.
Longer forend with full length arca. Lower center of gravity. The ability to get closer to the magwel with the lower center of
Gravity.
And of course it looks good. Lol
FIFYTo piggy back on what Ryan said, you get MLOK for any rail attachments including an exterior weight option and internal weight option, grip panels allow any AR15 compatible grip of your choice, and it makes adult men's panties moist.
Aye.. neither are wrong.FIFY
Well to be honest it is the best looking AIGot it. But I always feel the stock AX looks pretty good too.
This is a fact and the only reason I bought an AX. though thumbhole AT's areWell to be honest it is the best looking AI
That’s hands down my favorite AI in this thread so far
He pulled it before I could even click on the buy now button. Fucking tease!@Krob95
Yours is nice to. But you tried to abandon it in the px…..You loose points for attempting that
Thumbhole AO is Good Lookin…I thought one of you fools had tried it fairly recently... Tough to keep you all separate.
Dope! That is the second-best looking AI... Second only to a thumbhole AO, haha!
Hey, for an AX, how does that RRS Arca grip replacement block feel to your hands when you grab it and carry the rifle?

I bought the Sawtooth version because it looks way cooler, but damn it hurts to grab and actually carry the gun. The RRS design looks like it would sort of semi-shield one’s hand from the sharpish Arca bits.
Damnit, now might have to light some more $100 bills on fire lolThe rrs is way better to hold than the sawtooth one... However it is still a big square block with the endges are rounded really smooth...
waaaaahhhhhhh! Is this the one that hurts your little fingers ?
I’d take this all day over that RRS 2x4

waaaaahhhhhhh!
But yes, my widdle tiny soft baby hands were hurt by that big bad thing!
Looks 20x better though.
If it had been designed so there was material that overhung the Arca angles, it would’ve been tits. That way my Skin-So-Soft™ mitts would rest upon the overhang and not on 45° metal angles.
I assume that’s why the RRS is more comfy.
Well if you need the RRS aux plate, I know a guy that has one that he will probably never use againwaaaaahhhhhhh!

I get it, there’s always workarounds. But let’s design it right from the start. I suggest Sawtooth add those overhangs, plastic for cold weather (like the other hand-touching bits AI made).Comp guys where taking the plastic forend grip/ RRS plate from the AX/ AXMC/ AICS AX, to have a 'flatter' surface of contact (with forend), when rifle was placed on a bag while shooting off a prop.
The Sawtooth dovetail is able blend in, while still giving guys a tripod mounting point, maintaining a low profile, 'flatter' surface of contact.

But yeah man, the design ain't for everyone. I mean, people work out with gloves... so, not much different. lol
Yeah that would have made a huge difference. When I had my AX I went back to the RSS from the Dependabilt just because of this.I get it, there’s always workarounds.
