Took the AXSR 300 WM to the range today. Not too hot about 83 degrees, some wind. First groups out of the rifle. Bore sighted, 2 shots and on target. After shooting my groups I noticed the pic rail that the bipod mounted to was loose. Need to check this stuff on new AI's.

It has been divided up among a good many critters. Hogs, coyotes, deer....

Cheaper than a bass boat, better resale, and most of the time I end up making the landowner happy by squashing hit critter problems.

Testing a used .308 barrel before zeroing the new scope with the 6.5 barrel

Old well used factory 7.62x51 barrel did good for 4 shots with Hornady 155 steel match till I pulled he 5th shot.

Hornady 6.5 AG 140s also did well for 5 shots in a 18” PVA button 6.5 cm barrel

Yeah yeah that’s the color I wanted but I am a Poor and eurooptic only had FDE unfired demos for $5700


Would probably be in one hole if I had time to shoot instead of work lol. I’m much more consistent with my DTs for some reason.

So the ASR and proof barrel get along well.

.29 MOA with the following 6mm Creedmoor

-virgin unfired and untouched Lapua cases
-Berger 105 Hybrid target moving 3041 FPS
-40.0 grains RL16
-CCI 450 primer
-seated to 2.806 COAL
-AI ASR
-Proof Carbon 6mm Creedmoor 24 inch barrel. Barrel had 136 rounds on it at time of record.
-SD of 6.7 and ES of 16
-altitude 9000 FT (Norway Flats, Uintah mountains, Utah)

All in all gents the ASR is awesome. I do want to say I have had zero issues removing any barrels with all 3 Mlok rails on there. I know others mentioned they don’t care for it. I like it. I’m fine with it. Just saying.

Anyone in this thread use multiple hoppers on their A&D auto throw setups? I need some help finding a stand for my second glass hopper.

I have a Pyrex hopper for my auto throw A&D setup. I bought a second hopper to ease the hassle of different powders. I know I’ve seen a stand for spare hoppers but I can’t find it to save my life. For those with multiple hoppers, are you using a stand, where did you find it? Thanks in advance.

Sendero. It’s a proof AXMC pre-fit and I think all the pre-fits are sendero.

Did you notice a big difference in weight with the CF barrel? What does your setup weigh as it sits in the photos? Your rifle is set up the same as I plan to except for the bipod.

The 24 inch proof carbon barrel is exactly 2lbs lighter than the 24 inch steel 308 barrel. The gun is still heavy but it’s a little easier to move around. If I was custom ordering I’d do a 22 inch 6CM or a 22 inch 6.5CM barrel. With the hand guard length it seems that 18 inches is the shortest you can go with this fore end. I wouldn’t mind getting a shorter hand guard and a 16 inch carbon 6.5 and ride it around like the covert. Or at least have an option to do so

I don’t know the exact weight of the set up. But it’s heavy.

Seems like the proof prefits are a huge winner. Same pattern as the AXMC, right?

I know I already asked, and it seems others are interested... It would be very cool if you could weigh your rifle for us. I know I'm very eager to have hard data on the weight of that setup with that Proof barrel. Heavy to some is not heavy to others. I hiked my 18.5# SRS up to 10,000ft in search of elk before. If that ASR is less than 18#, but preferably closer to 15# with that carbon barrel I'd be all over it! If you get around to weighing it as configured, I shall be exceedingly grateful!

I’d weigh it for you man but all I’ve got a is a food grade scale that maxes out at 10lbs. I was able to Weigh the barrels.

it would be something like this. Weight of bare rifle is supposed to be 15.2lbs with a steel barrel. Scope and mount is another 3lbs. So that would be 18.2 with the scope. Proof barrel deducts exactly two lbs. so I’d estimate at 16.2 ish. Very scientific I know. I don’t even have a bathroom scale. I don’t want to know how fat I am.

Well that's a start! Thank you friend. Might I suggest taking the rifle apart piece by piece, weighing each part, then adding it all up and itemize your findings here!?... LOL

- Weigh the barrel
- Remove and weigh the hand guard
- Weigh the chassis and stock
- Weigh the scope/mount
