They're already working on it, all at once. EPA under the last administration was trying hard to ban all lead projectiles, as well as attacking the parts industry and dealers via ITAR madness.
The hell with "Buy more ammo", it's "Buy more everything".
I'm more worried about the whole mental health thing because every single mass shooter out there had mental issues or was on some form of Rx drug for their mental problems. In case it wasn't obvious already, I myself have mild autism and I'll be damned if I'm gonna stand for the mentally ill motherfuckers in Washington DC tell me that I'm too mentally ill to legally be able to own a gun. Fuck that!

Universal background checks make it so that ALL firearms transactions would require a background check. Whether it be private sales, inheritance, etc. Hell, might as well include a father passing down a gun to his son because that's essentially where the universal background bullshit is headed!
I've always said that the long term plan is to make it so difficult and painful to own of purchase guns that many people will not want to deal with it. Hell just the stupid waiting periods in my state prevent me from boredom purchases.
