I have three children and have been blessed to be able to save and get them all lifetime sportsman licenses here in Tn

now to start using them with them- several hunts planned and some scouting trips as well

time with my children is a blessing

"An all inclusive lifetime license valid for hunting, trapping, and sport fishing without any supplemental state licenses or permits. Allows holders to apply for quota permits at no additional fee."

That, and if the holder ever leaves Tenn the lifetime liscense is still valid for life, even as a resident of another state.

If you can spot the cash it's a very good deal as licenses seem to progressively get more expensive. To buy for a kid now will likely save them a lot when they are an adult.

VA's isn't as good of a deal as TN's, here we only get the hunting annual in the lifetime (basically the small game license required to buy everything else), which currently costs $23 per year. We still have to buy all the supplemenal licenses in addition; big game, archery, muzzleloader, etc. So if I bought a lifetime today and live another 30 years and the price of that regular license never increases, I'd save about $480 over the next 30 years.

Good for you and your kids! One of my buddies bought a lifetime license for Texas many years ago (he is a Texas resident). Has easily payed for itself. I wish Alaska would offer such licenses for non residents. I've spent a small fortune up there over the past 20 years.

Got Lifetime Sportsman license for my daughter and 2 nieces. For $200 (before age 3) it will be worth it even if they only fish. My 5 year old already goes to the woods with me when the weather is decent. You can't put a price on that kind of time together.
