Took my boys out deer hunting this week n saw a few nice bucks, but they had something special in mind. We covered miles of high country and never found the two they were dreaming of. We did however stumble on to this...

For a bit of perspective I'm 6' and 230lbs.

We had hiked within 30 yds of where I found him not a half hour before.

The help
My spotter on the right and the left was a back support for a sitting shot.

That was the second one I saw while hunting deer this year. Judging by the sign in the area they are thick. Tags are cheap and quotas still high.

The state biologist who gave me the seal for his hide said it was the first one to come through his office for the season.
