This is my point. As soon as you start acting the fool and thinking it’s ok is when someone gets shot. Guys think the rules dont apply to them because “I know what I’m doing”.Just a violation the basic firearms safety rules. ?
Is he "controlling" the firearm? Yes?
Is he able to clearly identify his target, backstop, and area surrounding it without looking? Nope.
Should the safety be off, or finger on trigger, or shooting without following the above rule? Nope.
This is the firearm equivalent of the Tide Pod Challenge.... another retarded action by immature individuals thanks to social media and the addiction to dopamine and endorphins after "likes".
We're fucked. I've already accepted it.
Buy more ammo.
My complaint isn’t so much with exactly what he did. I’m sure he knew what was in front of him and had a large backstop. It’s the “I’m a bad ass look what I can do with this gun” part. Trying to be cool plus not strictly following safety protocol is literally the fastest track to inadvertently putting a hole in someone. And he’s clueless. He rambled on about how this is good for the gun community. If he succeeds in getting someone to want to get into guns, this will be their role model.
