Well that’s disappointing to find out after the factJust got my shipping notification for RH SA. Should be in my hands tomorrow.
One thing I noticed today is the Archimedes bolt head is different than the Nucleus. Archimedes is labeled M3 and Nucleus is M9. Extractor is the same for both. I guess the bolt heads are no longer compatible between the two.
My gun builder Messenger Precision just sent me pictures of my Archimedes sa, 308 bolt face, 20moa rail. Very excited to have this in my hands in a couple of weeks doing load development.View attachment 7142741
Any insight on the why for the ejection port? I don’t get it.You win the first pic prize!
I’m happy ted ran with that idea on the ejection port.
I think it with help when ejecting cases very softly.Any insight on the why for the ejection port? I don’t get it.
How does the Archimedes feel bolt and trigger reset wise compared to a Nucleus?
Curious why trigger reset would be of significance on a bolt action?
Any XYLO shipments sent out?
Well my gun builder just emailed me pictures of my rifle with the Archimedes. I'll have this in my hand on Monday or Tuesday. View attachment 7143918
It's called the "Muscle Brake" here's a linkWhat brake is that?
This thing looks identical to the nucleus other than the pivoting bolt handle
Wonder if it helps fix this. Constantly loosing 6 BR brass cause my Nucleus ejects them forward. There are a couple photos floating around social media showing a recent ARC Nucleus with the same scallop cut on the ejection port.

No reviews as of yet due to, they're out enjoying them.So multiple Archimedes have been received, but zero reviews? Are yall that disappointed?
How do you guys know which SN you have?
It's on your invoice in the email if you got it.
Somebody should take pictures with the rail removed. It's supposed to be keyed like the older Mausingfield.
Send it to me I'll be glad to throw a few hundred rounds of 6CM through itPicked mine up from ye olde FFL yesterday evening and finger-banged it for a bit last night. I like it! Unfortunately, it's going to have to sit on the shelf for awhile due to lack of cash flow to complete the build.
Man, you're just too generous... I wouldn't feel right about taking advantage of your hospitality like that. ;-)Send it to me I'll be glad to throw a few hundred rounds of 6CM through it
Got email to pay invoice for RH LA.
This will be for a 300PRC, hope the bbl ships before end of year.
For those of you that just received an Archimedes and already own a Nucleus, I'm interested to hear about your impressions on comparing bolt lift effort between the Archimedes and Nucleus with the same weight firing pin spring installed in both actions. Archimedes should be lighter based on the design of the action since 100% of the bolt rotation is used for cocking only, but I'm wondering how apparent the difference in lift effort will be in reality.
Kind of wishing I had gone ahead and ordered an SA and LA Archimedes at the preorder prices, but my SA and LA Nucleus actions work great.
Have you formed any opinion on whether you prefer the Lone Peak or the Arch yet? I bought the Arch but Lone Peak was an option I looked long and hard at.I installed the 25 lb spring in my Nucleus this morning. Not sure what it had before, but I’m guessing the 16lb since it’s inside the first 100 actions made. I’m also not sure what the Arch has.
The 16 lbs was about equal to the Arch. The 25 lb is definitely heavier than the Arch. Still smooth, and it doesn’t bother me at all. I happen to have a Lone Peak razor here as well. I can’t feel any difference in effort between this Lone Peak and the Arch.
