I recently had the IBA mounts installed on our GA Precision Crusaders. The rifles are equipped with Nightforce 3.5x15x50mm scopes. When I mount the AN-PVS 22 it don't line up with the objective. There is almost a 1/2" height difference with the night scope being higher than the Nightforce. Has anyone had any accuracy issues with this setup? My only recourse is to get higher rings but that would cost my Department $ we don't have. Thanks for the input.

To answer your question, I have been running the PVS/UNS systems for years on different rifles and all of them will present you with another unique mounting/allignment issue. It will not affect your view, accuracy or clarity so no worries and leave it as is.

S700. You should not have a problem. I recommend that you do a boresite test with no NV and then with NV added on a cross at 100 yards while adjusting for parallax. Any shift will answer your question...

The UNS (what you have) and MUNS can handle up to 1/2" of axial offset with the day sight. You should be good to go.

If you get the $, put the 1.265" or 1.375" UL rings on. This will get everything aligned better and if any of your guys want to use their sun shades, they will be able to screw them on w/o hitting the UNS mount.

Stay safe,
TC

Thanks for the info guys. Through creative writing, we were able to get homeland security to fund the NV (without mentioning the fact that they were for rifles). The GA rifles and scopes were obtained thru a trade deal. It seems that from what is posted here, the rings we have will suffice. I tried looking thru the UNS mounted on the rifle and saw no shadow and it appeared fine to me. Training this week will consist of night shooting with the system and verifying zero at different ranges. Thanks for the input.

If I remember correctly that built-in difference in POI remained constant but was a PITA.

Specs say it can be off by up to an inch I believe and not affect accuracy
