Years ago they started requiring a fingerprint to get onto the air base as a contractor.
Hundreds of Mexicans disappeared for about 3 weeks because it was discovered they were using their cousin/brother/neighbors name.
They were back in town working for the same companies but not at the base in a month.
If they need my license and SS card to hire me they need a green card to hire anyone else. If they don't comply maybe a year or two behind bars and confiscation of any profits of illegal labor will catch their attention?

If they did it here in pretty much any town in Eastern Colorado or western Kansas. It would be ghost town. I doubt there is much out here that isn't close to 50% illegals that have mostly shown up starting around 2000.

There was a process. We don't use it anymore. When my Father came to the US in 1956, he had to:
- Have a sponsor who lined up a job for him. My Dad worked in a factory that made leather jackets, etc. He was paid piecemeal. The harder you worked, the more you made. It was a simple formula.
- He had to attend night school, learn the language, and pass a proficiency test.
- Become a US Citizen as soon as he was eligible.
I have ZERO tolerance for illegals who are getting perks through my taxes. Come here, contribute to society, and enjoy the benefits. Otherwise, stay where you are. We are full.

Have a friend that’s married to a former Indian citizen. He had to find a sponsor for her which he did ( not me ). To get her here the correct and legal way cost him over 10K. I spent over 100 hours helping them navigate the many roadblocks of going from a K-1 Visa to US Citizenship.
The day she was allowed to work and pay taxes she did. She works her ass off doing manual labor in a warehouse. She can speak 4 languages , and has become a die hard Trump supporter. Never whines about shit , but I know she resents illegals big time.
It would be nice for them to recoup all the money they spent coming in the right way , but that will never happen.
I don't think it cost my Dad much, if anything. If there is a sizeable cost, that should be worked on. If you go the LEGAL route, you shouldn't have to go into debt to get here. Maybe DOGE should investigate where that money goes.

My Mexican born grandparents came here legally thru a worker program, learned English, became American citizens. They picked the strawberry fields in Oxnard, CA, so ya, it can be done. A vetted US/Mexico worker program can be done as it has in the past.

A lot of the money he spent was wasted. He attempted to get an immigration lawyer to help but that was a waste of time and $$. Once you understand the process a lawyer isn’t really needed.
You just have to cross the t’s and dot the i’s ….literally.
Plus they had to go to Houston to the Indian Consulate twice ,a long 10 hr drive from here.
