Another win.... Modelo sales dropping for first time in a decade...

I was at a pool party and some Mexican wife noticed me drinking Modelo and said 'Ah, you're drinking Modelo!'

I thought, 'Since you made a point to comment, not anymore, Lupe.' and switched to Budweiser.

Budweiser wasn't a bad beer, actually, but their woke management ruined it.

I don't know why Modelo sales dropped unless Americans are fed up with the illegal alien thing, just like Budweiser's sales tanked after their woke tranny ploy.

Budweiser was the leading beer manufacturer but their red-blooded American customers don't like being played and loading on the tranny train willingly.

The only ones still buying Bud-light besides old Democrat weirdos are the illegals. Mexicans don't buy Modelo. Stand in line in any convenience store behind an illegal and you'll notice the twelve pack is Budweiser. Look at the construction debri along with household garbage dumped on some backroad and you'll only see Budweiser bottles.

Mexico has a proud beer brewing tradition that dates back at least to Germans that settled there in the 19th century.

Budweiser, on the other hand, has been crap beer at least since the grain rationing of WWII forced the substitution of rice for barley.

I actually don’t mind Modelo. Is there better? Of course, but for a summertime beer, it’s easy drinking. This is coming from a Belgian beer guy! And don’t lie, you took the Mexican wife behind the shed and banged her didn’t you?

Anheuser-Busch InBev owns modelo(and bud)

I quit drinkin' so my dog is out of the hunt and on the sidelines. But..........

Modelo was the beer that many of the people that got pissed off at budweiser gravitated towards. Myself included. I thought Modelo was reasonably good beer. Much happier about spending my money on Modelo than budweiser.

I come from a part of the country where there are a lot of Craft Beers. So many so, that there are a lot of shit Craft Beers to have to navigate around, over, or under.

The Easy button is Belgian Beers. ;) (y)

Which is stupid because as I said above it’s the same company, people are dumb

Imported Mexican beer is the best beer. But Mexicans here, especially the illegals, aren't going to pay the extra money for it. Thats for the yuppy progressives that wear their Cancun t-shirts.

To Mexicans here in the U.S., buying Modelo and Dos Equis would be like buying Heineken or Stella Artois, empties you won't see in their roadside garbage. I doubt most Mexicans here would even drink a Tecate if it were next to a Budweiser.

In California, modelo is all the laborers would be drinking in the eastern desert of the state, and Tecate in Long Beach and San Diego.

Ironically, when I would go wheeling on some of the big jeep trails out yonder, a lot of Mexican’s would be drinking Corona too while driving their rzr’s around.

Maybe there’s differences regionally.

Germans and Austrians established the Mexican brewing industry. Logos and styles are a reflection of that. Negra Modelo is a Vienna Lager, Tecate eagle logo, etc.

Not here. Mexicans here are frugile, to say the least. If they can't get it for free, they'll pay the lowest amount.

They do drink a shitload of Corona and so did I when I was on a big job. They know how to eat good, as in grilled carne and drink... a lot.

Used to only be two things in Shiner, the brewery and Kaspar Wire Works. I haven't been there in a long while, don't know if that has changed.

There used to be a Blue Bell ad, we eat all we can and sell the rest. We used to joke, that in Shiner, they drank all they could and sold the rest.

It was a pretty big deal when you could finally get Shiner Bock in the grocery stores in Houston.

Add to the German heritage the fact that during the prohibition, Mexican beers were easily ‘imported’ by smugglers and the preferred taste of those visiting speak easys.

Personally, while I haven’t had one in a coons age, of the Mexican beers, I preferred negra modelo. Unless working on a super hot day, then plain old corona.

Yeah, I remember when I was a kid and the family taking day trips and my uncle asking locals in little towns if they sold Bock beer.

In high school, we'd drive thirty miles to a gas station/convenence store outpost in another county to buy Coors because they were the only ones that had a license to sell that rare, liquid gold. A buddy even named his dog 'Coors.'

I now live five minutes from that store and wouldn't drink that horse piss if they were giving it away.

Shiner is for tourists.
See the Alamo. Drink a Shiner Bock. Go home.

Lonestar is for export to “cowboy” theme bars in New York.
“Hey Linda. Look at me. I’m drinking Lonestar like a real Texan.” Le eye roll.

Yuengling is for skinny Jean wearing hipsters.
BiL brought a 12er over a while back. The best thing I could say about it is that it was unremarkable. And, pouring one in a pot of beans didn’t fuck them up.

beer snobs are the worst, they are worse than wine snobs, no one fucking cares what beer you prefer or why

For example @akmike47 was just saying a few nights ago about how he didn't like the weaker tasting domestic beers like Budweiser because they weren't strong enough to get the penis taste out of his mouth

I was like Mike shut the fuck up no one wants to hear that shit, but now you know...

You were just telling me my dick tasted just like your ass and how well it pairs with a Smirnoff ice

My wife is from Brenham and worked for a while at Blue Bell making stick ice cream. It is not a lie. They let you eat what you want. You will get tired of it. She has a cousin who still works at the "new" (it was new half a century ago) creamery on 577.

My wife's parent's house is on one hill and on the next hill, you could see the creamery. Even better was a small ranch across the street from the house. They had about 20 or 30 head. And the feeder was near the road. So, the cows would walk up the meadow but it looked like the old commercial of the cows walking toward the camera.
