Any have experience with V7 Weapons Systems AR10?

I'm considering getting an AR10, and I ideally want an LMT but the V7 options look pretty nice, although a little pricey. I can't really find many reviews on them though. Has anyone on here used one?


I'm mainly concerned with:

1. Reliably/ durability (do parts break, any stoppages, etc.)

2. Precision (how are the barrels)


3. How do they compare to LMT, KAC, etc.


I'm mostly looking at the 20" .308 Harbinger, and would be using it for a "precision" role out to 1,000yds. I'll have a Vortex 4.5-27x on it so I will be using this mainly for long distance, with some 0-100yds shooting. I'm also playing around with the idea of just getting the 22" 6.5CM instead, but not sure yet.

1. Functions fine, nothing has broken, but I have less than 200 rounds through the rifle.

2. Precision - see attached. I'm shooting to my capabilities, especially with the stubby stock. I know VSeven used Pac-Nor barrels prior to the Pac-Nor fire. My rifle is most likely post fire (ordered at nearly the same time). I'm not sure who's barrel is in this rifle.

I pierced primers using factory Berger 130 and 140 gr loads. Those rounds perform extremely well in my bolt rifles, but were too much for an AR. My load info is in the photo.

I had blown primers using hot loads with my first AR10 (GAP10) in 2011. A guy on here suggested lighter loads to all that we jumping into AR10s at the time. Backing off the 6.5 loads worked.

3. I have a GAP10, JP, and FN SCARs. I handled LMT and KAC, but haven't shot them. The VSeven is much, much lighter. Look at the weights on their website. I'd like to get a 16" .308 upper - it is right at 1 pound lighter than the 20" 6.5 which would be insane.

I heard the owner of VSeven worked with, and was a friend of, John Noveske. The VSeven is super cool compared to the rifles you are considering, it is definitely a top shelf rifle. I was looking at the VSeven site the night before your post and the 16" .308 were/are sold out. It is a no frills, super light, AR10 that does what it is supposed to.

I own a V7 complete build in 223 wylde the Enlightened Rifle. I have also talked to Joel on the phone. I know this thread was originally for the AR10. I wanted to be helpful and speak about my experience with this rifle. In short, It has a nickname (Little Evil), because I put a delta point pro on top and it weighs nothing, and its accurate as hell. I zeroed it 36 yards (see Shawn Ryans you tube video on 36 yard zero) I can still bust clays for skeet shooting at 300 yards. A bit tricky with a red dot but within two to 3 rounds it was easy. As far as durability, I have only shot it at the range and I have had ZERO issues with function or feeding or accuracy. I am not a war fighter and typically don't abuse my stuff but from what i have experienced, I would not hesitate to take this rifle on a hog hunt, which i plan to do in February. If you want to abuse the shit out of your rifle then I might suggest a PWS as an owner, they are heavy. Pick your poison. But If you take care of this rifle, im sure it will stand up to Ur needs. I highly recommend either. I love my V7!!

A V Seven big block gun is a very safe bet. It's the top choice if you're going to be on foot for extended periods.

I did a full v seven build in 556 last year and have been very impressed with it. Have owned and shot LMT, noveske and LWRC in the past but the v seven is a step above and stupid lightweight although it was not a cheap. Would love to own an AR10 version.
