Went through my ritual this evening looking for reloading components and rimfire ammo at the online sites. Still largely coming up empty on the items I need.
I usually shoot CCI Mini Mag HP in my Ruger 10/22 when gunning for varmints so always look for that.
Surprised to find it IN STOCK at Cheaper Than Dirt! Super Duper!
Then I saw the price....$40 for a box of 100!! That's over 4 times the normal price at most places!
So I understand supply & demand and all that, but most of the reputable online dealers are keeping their prices CLOSE to normal, or selling at MSRP without discounts, and when the stock goes, it just goes. They still earn their traditional profit margin or a bit more.
Cheaper Than Dirt is guilty of price gouging, and a daresay I will likely never buy anything from them again, even when these maddening shortages diminish.
