Attempted to buy a Bergara premiere bolt today. I had some gut feelings after seeing they’ve been inactive for about two years but decided to purchase anyway. Seller asked that I pay f&f. I paid goods and services and paid extra for the fees and expedited shipping. After they received payment, they seemed upset that I paid g&s and have since stopped replying to messages and did not ship today as agreed upon.

Just seeing if anyone knows this user or has had transactions or if I’m being over paranoid.

Thanks. Also if you are legit and have a Bergara 6.5 premier bolt, let me know.

Hey brotha, He also approached me and I tried to buy some MDT grips from him. I wasn't really looking into it at first since it was just $60. But then when I tried to send payment, Paypal said "this payment might be a scam." so I canceled right away. When I tried to get him to send me a picture of the items with his username he said. "nah not worth $60." Then I went on my way.

After further investigation I used google lens to search the images he sent me and it was from a airgun forum 3 years ago.

Thanks man. I feared that and was just about to search the images myself to see if it was from someone else’s post. I submitted a refund request to PayPal and hoping it’s not too much of a hassle.

Thanks, I appreciate the info.

Remember, PayPal is not 2A friendly. Not telling you to lie, but if you tell them it’s firearm related they may not help you out.

Oh you learn something everyday. google lens sounds like something we can all use for due diligence.
I usually ask the op for a new pic with date written under the said item so they can’t photo shop it. I shall now start using google lens!

If you receive funds via paypal goods & services, do they 1099 you above a certain amount?
Yes, the reporting threshold was supposed to be $5,000 in 2024 but, PayPal sent me one for ~$3k. It's why I strongly prefer not to use PP G&S. Yes I can file it all as a loss on my taxes but, I hate having to do it. The threshold for 2025 is $2,500 and only $600 for 2026 and after.
