Anyone else with a sticky atacr digillum button?

I recently purchased a 4-16 atacr and noticed the illumination button is a bit sticky if you’re not pressing perfectly centered. Is this to be expected?

I removed the cap and made sure it was free from debris and noticed the metal ring insert looks a bit odd. Can anyone confirm what its supposed to look like.

That's what the inside is supposed to look like. As far as it sticking, I haven't really experienced that but I'm usually pressing in the center of the dished out part and not at the edges.
