Hi,
We dont have a manual (yet ;-))
You can reply to the welcome mail if you have any questions.
In summary the app works as follow:
1. The main functionality is linked to your gun, so the first step would be to add a gun. The minimum requirements for a gun is a name, and a caliber. You can however expand on your guns details to include the following:
- General gun info (twist, barrel length, action, etc)
- Optic, chassis, trigger, serial number, license
2. After you added a gun you can start to add information to the different sections:
- Activities, load tests, recipes, checklist
This information is linked to the selected gun. To view / add more guns you can tap top center of the screen on the gun name. You can add as many guns, activities, loadtests and recipes as you like.
3. When adding activities you can choose what sections you want to complete / thats applicable to the activity
- General info, notes, recipe used, load test used, photos of your targets, chronograph speed info, weather
- You can filter by activity type once you have a list of activities.
- Ex. If you want to see all the load development activities, of all target practice activities
4. When adding a load test, either by starting from scratch, or by requesting a load test based on your components, you have the ability to add all components used. You can either enter basic information, or you can add advanced information. The following optional sections are linked to your load test:
- Targets, graphs, notes
- The app will generate the speeds table based on your test input, red numbers will indicate where you are over the max speeds
- The graph is based on the entered speeds
- If you request load test help (paid for service) you have the ability to correspond with the specialist until you are happy with the result.
5. The recipe section is a list of recipes that you have for the applicable gun. This is meant to be the reference when you reload so that you don't need to look it up in your book.
6. The checklist section is a place where you can add your own checklist items. I added my reloading steps, and refer back to it to make sure i didn't accidentally skip a step.
7. We added paid for convenience features to make certain tasks easier. You can however use all of the main functionality without purchasing anything. Paid for features includes:
- Backup to external csv file
- Import chronograph speeds (Labradar / Magnetospeed XFR)
- Import / Export load test, recipe gun to csv file
8. We also added a paid for REQUEST LOAD TEST HELP service (either once off per request, or unlimited requests included in a subscription). This is a service that we offer where one of our specialists takes a look at your specific components to suggest a starting point for your load test. We found that even though most powder manufacturers provide the minimum and maximum ranges for their powders, almost none of them can provide you with a safe range for your individual components. Now in stead of reverting to an open forum, a friend or facebook group you can privately request load test help.
We are always open to suggestions on what to do next, or how we can improve functionality. You are welcome to send me any suggestions, or if you find something thats not working as it should.
