Program looks very good, so far, very similar to shooter.
A feature that would definitely make it different enough, is to have windage holds in the reticle view, apart from the holds for elevation. Sometimes in a shot there are variations in wind speed, having an idea of what range of values that represents in mills would be very useful for fast wind calls (eg. 1 mill is 3.5 mph wind, 2 mills is 6.9 mph wind, etc.)
Also, a scrolling wheel instead of the +/- for changing parameters in the hud view would be nice.

I just bought this program and love it. I wwould like to second all of the requests to "unlock" the distance in the truing or calibration section. For instance I shoot a 300 win mag and my outdoor range just doesn't go out past a mile. Id like to enter the actual data from 1200 to true if at all possible. I completely understand it needs to be near 1300 fps to be most accurate but I would like the ability to play with these inputs myself instead of being locked out.

Not sure if anyone ever double checks numbers like I do but just a quick note to let you know that the Free version of Sterlok (which is really nothing like the AB app) can be downloaded to your Kindle Fire quite easily without rooting it. You have to go through onlyandroid.mobihand.com in your internet browser on the kindle. There are a ton of non-Amazon apps there you can download onto the Kindle. Wish the AB app were on there. Maybe there is a way to make it that way???

So I've been playing with it for a few days (I've used shooter for a long time) and I really think I'll like it.
I am stuck though. I can't figure out how to change my bc from g1 to g7 and have it work. I change it in the drop down, then change the bc value, but it tells me every time that its wrong, or that I need a minimum velocity. Do I need to fill out the bc for all 4 of the velocities?
So I've been playing with it for a few days (I've used shooter for a long time) and I really think I'll like it.

I agree with Robert. I use my smartphone. An Iphone will not hold up with my casio commando. This is my 3rd commando. Don't know about Iphone battery life, but my commando is by far the best battery life I have had in a smartphone.
Real world apps and programs are not as available on apple products. I worked in multiple dealerships as a mechanic, in mines, and now farm. ALL the programs I have used or looked at are pc based. I have spent many thousands of dollars on programs and apps over the years.

I'm also running it on a Galaxy Tab, but I can't get Kestrel data to populate. The devices are paired, I push the button to start Kestrel weather, but nothing happens. It works fine with Shooter. Any ideas? It would also be great to get a Leupold TMR reticle.

Now I am not one to BS but if I pay $30 for this app, I pretty much expect to be able to pick and choose my reticle since I have two reticles. Why? Because I have a Panty 6 with a freakin choke hold over the funds. Buying an app is one thing, but paying for, hahahaha, DLC, no freakin WAY! Shoot, the kids literally beg and plead for,'...just one more XBox Microsoft Card so I can get he latest DLC"

What about an Applied Ballistics/Kestrel weather station that would link to the smart phones via Bluetooth and share your software so we could use the weather station as a standalone or link it to a smart phone when it’s in a weather vane.
I have talked to Benn Nielsen at Nielsen-Kellerman about this in the past and he seemed open to the idea.

You can only receive weather condition info from the Kestrel to the phone via Bluetooth I’m looking for a weather station that would be interactive with the phone and would use the same solver as Shooters app / Applied Ballistics app and would link to my handheld computer via Bluetooth.
I have an Hours/Kestrel and it would be much easier to input the data on my phone and transfer to the Kestrel unit via Bluetooth and have all the functionality of the Shooters app on your phone or a standalone unit whichever is most convenient at the time.
So for me a Shooters App or Applied Ballistics/Kestrel with all they offer that would interface with my phone makes more sense than the Hours/Kestrel unit I currently own.

I guess I don't understand what you hope to gain linking it to a handheld computer. I understand you like the functionality of the AB app, but you won't likely see it on a kestrel any time soon for a host of reasons.
What "interactive" experience are you after? When I start the kestrel atmosphere upload in the AB app it continually updates until I ask for the solution. Another advantage if you have a 4500 is use the crosswind value and leave the wind angle set at 90 degrees in the AB app.
What do you feel is still lacking? I would just like to see an option to enable a wind angle feature in the app if paired with a 4500 capable of determining the wind angle with the compass.

Is it possible to sell this app on the amazon app store. I bought a cheap android from Big Lots for $79 and it does'nt have the google play app installed. I bought shooter and it runs fine. Any other ways to get Applied Ballistics on my device.

Google Play is just the 'new' name of the Android app store -- basically if it is an Android >= version 2.2 (Froyo) device, you can get an Internet connection, you should be good to go (just need a Google/Gmail account).

Some andriods don't have the Google Play app store installed. I understand Google charges a licensing fee to the device maker. Where Amazon app store does not so you will see the sub $100 android tablets without Google Play. 1Moble is also a good app store but Applied Ballistics is not listed on either. Shooter app is listed on Amazon. Perhaps Brian can list AB on Amazon.

How about a barrel twist/bullet stability program. I know there is one behind the calculations but it would be useful before purchasing. Or recommendations of bullets for twist/barrel length. Great product!

This app got an update within the last week or so. When I first bought it, I was a little disappointed by the lack of bullets in the library.
With the update, now it is awesome. If you looked at it before and moved on, you might want to look again.

The JBM Stability program is the best available right now, including the ability to compute gyroscopic stability both for regular jacketed bullets, as well as plastic tipped bullets.

To create a more accurate Drag Model in the AB Mobile App, I'm entering the G7 values from Bryan Litz's excellent work, "Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting". But, I've run into a snag. The App requires an entry at 0 fps.
Anyone know what value I should enter for 0 fps?

Bryan responded to an email that I sent to Applied Ballistics. He directed me to page 275 of his book Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting (2nd Ed), where he discusses velocity-banded BCs.
The answer is to just use the lowest velocity BC value that you have, "This will not give an exact representation, but it's the best way to make a velocity-banded BC from the test data."

I just skimmed through, didnt read every post thoroughly, so I apologize if I missed it....but is there a Vortex Razor EBR-2b or just 2 reticle in the app?
Not yet. Horus H58 & H59, Mildot, Nightforce NP-R1, NP-R2, & MLR, and the TReMoR are the reticle choices, so far. Bryan said that more reticles would be added as requests were received.
