What are the problems with the app?
I have AB on my Motorola smart phone and it works great. But I like the idea of redundant systems in case I lose the phone or it breaks in hunting camp. I wanted a 7 inch tablet to load the program, but I've now purchased two, both with android 4.0 or better, and wifi, and AB will NOT load on either. I keep getting a message about the device being incompatible or nonexistent. Has anyone found a tablet that will load AB?
Guys,
Recognizing there has been a lack of support for this app, we've assigned someone to engage the hide and provide some much needed assistance.
Chuck Foote is Applied Ballistics' digital media specialist. He's a relatively new shooter (F-TR, Michigan team member) and college student currently finishing a degree in biometric security.
His roles on the Hide will be mainly in support of the AB Mobile app including:
1) Collecting requests for and actually drafting new reticles for addition to the app.
2) Collecting requests for new bullets to be added to the bullet BC library and custom drag curve library.
3) Collecting bug reports, both general and device specific.
He'll provide direct support inline where possible, but more advanced requests will be passed up to either the app developer or myself.
Hopefully with Chuck helping out, we'll be able to respond more quickly and make this app better for everyone.
Chuck's email is:

Feel free to contact him for assistance with AB Mobile or comment directly in related threads.

Chuck, any plans for a windows 8 based program. Would like like to put this Surface Pro to work.
Hi Brayan,
I'm also waiting to hear your good news for iPhone AB, I bought Galaxy Note II only to use AB app on it, But I feel much more comfortable if I can also use it on my iPhone, I'm very happy with Shooter app already, but after I bought my Night-force riflescope AB app seams much more interesting than shooter refer to Reticle data on AB.
I wish AB will be available soon for iPhone too.
I just signed up on this forum and happy to write my first post seconds after the registration.
I wish I can learn more from you guys here.
Cheers!
Pooyan
Chuck, is there an updated list somewhere of the reticles supported in AB mobile?
The list of reticles supported in AB mobile is currently:
Horus H58
Horus H59
Mildot
Nightforce NP-R1
Nightforce NP-R2
Nightforce MLR
TReMoR 2
The next update will contain additional reticles!
When can we expect the next update?
I'm wondering that myself I was told that the next update will have the swfa scope in it
Suggestion for a new feature, backing up settings and rifle/ammo profiles to the SD card. Rather than online only
I have a question about the software on the AB Kestrel and the integration with the app. I must say I am overwhelmed by all of this I don't own either of the apps or a kestrel yet, I'm still doing the "old fashioned" method of going to jbmballistics and inputing my known values such as current/estimated weather conditions, altitude, and MV.
Is there a purpose to buying shooter/AB for iphone? and a bluetooth kestrel? Whats the point of the BT AB and the shooter app combined on an iphone?
I have just discovered a problem with my software running on a Nexus tablet. When I open the Ballistic Calibration screen, the keyboard appears as does an input line under Range 1. However, the keyboard does not work inputting data onto the input line. If I persist an error window appears telling me that the software has stopped working. Suggestions please?
I passed the problem on to Bryan and Sean. We'll see if we can figure out what might be causing this issue.
Any progress please?
If anyone is having trouble seeing the numbers they input in the ballistic calibration screen follow these instructions and see if it helps with the problem. Hit the menu button from the first screen when opening up the app. Select Preferences. Under preferences select Color Scheme. Change the color scheme from Day to Night. Hopefully this helps!

Is this with the Nexus 7? I am looking into buying a tablet in a couple weeks and was looking at buying that tablet.
