Obviously the Nexus hasn’t been released yet but looking for any advice on a top of the line press. Anyone the has a Zero and considering switching to the Nexus? I will be reloading multiple calibers, mainly 25 creed, 6.5 prc and 300 win mag. I’m a buy once, cry once type of person which is why these are the two that I’m considering.

Skip both, they bring nothing to the table you cant get with either a Co-ax or a Redding T7 Turret.
You are better off investing in a Dillon 750 and slowing automating over time. Same quality ammo, just able to make it much easier and faster.

IMHO, The competitors for the 419 are other turret presses, eg Dillon presses, and/or Redding presses (with or without the Creedmoor sports upgrades). The competitors for the SAC press, are other single-stage presses, typically stated as "do you want a Co-Ax or a Rockchucker"?
Start by asking yourself which workflow you want...that would be my $0.02
Yup. I am amazed people are so easy to drop so much money on a press like the Area419. I have used a few presses over the years and use a Hornady Iron Press now and it loads very accurate ammo for a 1/4 the price of the Area419 but it doesn't have the cool factor. All comes down to what you want but don't be throwing money away.
You could look at what Benchrest shooters use . They are putting every bullet in the same hole. It’s not the Zero or the Nexus. I would say spend the extra cash on reloading components and barrels . I use a MEC marksman because it has a self aligning shell holder. For my “Benchrest” rounds. I do however seat using an arbor press. For anything high volume I use a Dillon 650. The winningest Benchrest shooter ever Tony Boyer used a Rock Chucker. Not trying to rain on your parade . Just know the extra money will not mean better ammo.
Sometimes it’s not about better ammo per se, but a better experience to make the ammo. Top tier presses, smoother user experience.
I would buy my Zero again with out a doubt. I reload 5-6 calibers on my Zero, and pairing the SAC seating die for 308 based cases, helps knock out extra seating dies in the turret. But if you’re going to shoot several more calibers in addition to what you shoot already, the nexus press would probably be better for quicker die changes.

Buy whichever press you want, they will all make good ammo, the high end presses will not make better ammo, the weak link in the system is the shooter, always has been.

It literally does nothing but remove money from you. Its not easier to use. The dogshit lock rings cross thread and strip out easy. You are paying for no additional performance.
Unless someone already has the absolute best of everything and wants to just throw money in the trash, then its a stupid purchasing decision. You aren't making better ammo, its not faster/easier to use and it doesn't make you cool.

No its not. It has zero translation into better ammo (concentric, less run out, more consistent sizing & seating,ect)
Explain how its more enjoyable to pull the handle of a Zero vs any of the turret presses.
There is nothing premium about them. In fact, it can be argued there are some drawbacks such as the shitty over priced rings they push.
If you think a Co-ax or a T7 is cheap shit, then go tell that to the independently wealthy shooters who are world champions. You somehow think the zero or nexus is a better press because its costs more money. In fact, its marketed to dumb shits and people without the IQ to know the value in what they are buying. So im going to keep on sitting in my $150K shop/office behind the house with 300sqfoot climate controlled reloading equipment, dank expoxy floors and over 30 feet of reloading benches and the best equipment money can buy. If a 419 press offered anything better, i would probably have a few of them. It would probably be sandwiched between 2 ST , the AMP and more Bergers than your car is worth.

I disagree with comparing the Zero to any other turret or progressive press. It only "looks" like a turret press. In reality, the turret is just a "tool holder" in the shape of a turret. I.E. you won't save any time loading on a Zero and a Co-Ax (or Nexus). Grabbing a die out of a drawer or stand and locking into a Co-Ax is going to be the same speed as loosening and moving the Zero turret. Sometimes even slower if you have to change the turret head for something.
One of the big selling points of the Zero (the turret) is also IMO its biggest con. The whole point is to not need to adjust dies. Which means the die must remain in the turret. That means that unless you only load for a couple cartridges, you'll need multiple turrets. That's another $200 every turret on top of the $1500 or so price. So, that is a "con" if you don't want to keep spending or have a bunch of turrets laying around.
I can only LOL @ anyone messing up the Zero lock rings. You just make sure the tool is actually seated down into the ring and you snug it down. If you're stripping the tool you either don't have it all the way into the ring or you're ape arming it trying to lock it down tighter than it needs to be. Using a strap wrench means you're definitely cranking on it harder than you need to.
We own or have owned every single piece of equipment mentioned in this thread so far and more. And already have a couple SAC presses ordered. Why? Because we can and we like trying new things. Won't be selling the Zero press though (or the mark 7 apex, or the xl750, or the Redding T7).

In fact, the guy who's yelling above pays PRS a yearly membership to record his mid pack or lower scores. Even though he's yelling a people for "wasting" money on a press. To be clear, if you do any amount of volume or don't really like cranking on a handle, invest in a Mark 7 product or an xl750 with a mark 7 auto drive. If you have a budget and have to pick between an automated setup (or just progressive with handle) or single stage press. If you have the budget for both, just buy several.

Once that load or process is determined and I need to put volume in, I do as much as possible with an automated press. The Nexus will be used in a similar fashion. I have neither press, and don’t plan on buying either one, but I will say I was impressed with the thought and materials used in the new SAC Press after watching F Class Johns shot show video. The way they are allowing the shellholder to pivot is a pretty cool idea as is the mechanical stop.
Next time start a thread of how to properly clean the barrel.

Personally, I think $800 for a co-ax press is kind of ridiculous, but that's just me.
I like my Zero. At least it has 9 stations on top of it. And for those talking about how it's not making any more accurate ammo... This is true. I was making just as accurate ammo for 20 years with my old RCBS Rock Chucker (that's now half worn-out and has lots of jiggly play in it), but it's more about the reloading experience. The smoothness of the press. The precision that went into design and execution of making it. It's the little features that are awesome, like the internal primer catcher system, and the fact that compared to my RCBS, the ram goes straight up and down, and has no play in it. My RC got so bad, that I had to use 2 hands every time I pulled the lever... 1 on the handle, and the other index finger against the case wall to hold it still in the shell holder to keep it from wiggling and falling out of alignment when moving it up into the dies. Even with the press still making good ammo, it had been worn-out like that for a good 5+ years, and it was annoying. It was time for either a new RC or something better. And the Zero dropped, and I had the spare money, and that was all she wrote. Been extremely happy ever since.

The stripped lock rings are actually a known thing. Plenty of people have experienced this. The issue is that the rings, depending on temperature, can literally lock into the turret. Even under situations where you only hand tighten. I didn't believe it until it happened to me.
Area419 fixed the issue by redesigning the wrench to have better bite on the internal teeth. I have since moved on to FW Arms machined 1 inch lock rings.

I'm happy with my Zero. I don't know that I'd buy another if mine went to crap but it is nice being able to leave things set up, especially using the SAC dies. There's no reason to even set up my Dillon 750 for rifle cartridges. Running a SAC die with the mandrel does everything I'd do on my 750.
If I could do it all over again. I'd probably just run the Co-Ax but I got a good deal on my Zero and there's no point in trying to sell it.

For all of the wailing and gnashing of teeth and the butt hurt in these press threads, do people even buy or use measurement tools for measuring the results in concentricity in loaded ammo in ammo one press produces compared to the next. I’ve never known many prs style shooters to measure concentricity and these presses aren’t popular with the f class and Bench rest crowds

Dillon: Finally, a working 6mm bullet dropper!
So, I have every type of Double Alpha Bullet Dropper die... But in my experience, none of them have ever worked well with 6mm bullets. I load my match ammo on my Dillon 750 and wanted to automate the process (Mark 7 autodrive en route) but the bullet feeding has always been the hiccup. Not...

Well, I try not to be a Poor anymore, but that old Wilton has been a damn-fine tool. It's built MANY guns and been used for more shit than most of the ones I've had out in my work shops. I use that vise on average at least once every 2 weeks for something around the house, if not for something to do with guns.
The zero press is really a single stage press for it's cost, it cannot be used as all other turret presses on the market, so $800 for co ax vs. zero take your pick between the two. I would rather have a true turret press and also by another press but that is just me, I use three presses now.
