Sidearms & Scatterguns ATF to Halt NFA Batch Processing, Re-Design eForms System

I don't know much about how it all works. But is there a way they could have computers do everything thus speeding up the process by a few months.

P.S When I say I don't know how it all works I mean on the ATFs end. I know about the paper work to get a suppressor and all that.

I don't know why they can't just run a NICS check when you buy your Suppressor, Class 3 weapon, or SBR, and have the retailer charge an extra 200 dollars in tax for the stamp and send it in. A week later you get your stamp in the mail. Seems simple to me. If they want to know who has them they will know because you filled out the tax stamp form when you picked up your gun. Simple. I don't know what they hell they are doing for six months in the computer age.

It seems that if it's not one thing then it's something else in regards to the ATF and the NFA branch. They really need to get their shit together, though it doesn't seem like they have any desire to make things easier for us.
