Average barrel life of stainless 30-06?

I searched but the answer I find is "very good barrel life." Can someone put a number on it using reasonable loads using SMK or similar in a stainless .30-06 match barrel before the accuracy starts to suffer?

Based on military experience and expected life of the M1 Garand barrel, I would expect 7,000-10,000 rounds depending on initial condition of the barrel.

you must define accuracy first, what it is for you. If we are talking 1/4 MOA maybe 1500 rds now if it is 1 MOA it would be a boat load, bullet will come out the barrel for a long long time after all the rifling is gone but good luck hitting what you aim at.

No that does help, thank you. I'm looking at a used stick that is capable of .3 moa and I'm trying to figure out how long that may last or at what rate the groups will grow.

average about 3-4k. 308 about 4-6k. Some go longer. Heat is the enemy. I say about 2-2500 for 300 mag.
