That's scam it's an organization, I received many off them after "i take it" messages and exact same type of messages.
Also, Can access to DM's. Received 3 times text message at my phone with same letter plates type.

And again, this is why you don’t write “I’ll take it” in posts. You send the seller a PM. We have said this over and over but people keep doing it.

And are you going to tell us who or just put up a screen show with the name hidden so we can’t do anything? You also didn’t report it. Again not allowing us to do anything.

People also access PM’s! Hot to scammers found my phone number. Also, scammer people some how deleted conversation history after not send payment. I’m try to catch and report scammer to moderators. Thanks for helping.

They access you PM by sending you one after you say I’ll take it. And if you wrote your phone number somewhere on the site they find it too. Never write phone numbers or emails anywhere in an ad or in a pm you don’t trust.

PMs will disappear when we spam the person as it deletes all their activity on the site. A ban will not do that. Two different functions.

You need to report them also asap. That is a common name and they were just spammed again by a moderator but may be back. Not sure how they do it.

Anyone know how I can get in touch w an admin ??? I’m new here and don’t want anyone to get scammed and definitely not by someone impersonating me. I have sold 3 items in a couple weeks and have had no trouble at all … yet.

I’ve had 2 of the 3 items I’ve actually sold that a scammer contacted a person (I think they had posted WTB adds for items I happened on o have posted up) impersonating me and trying to get them to pay. In both circumstances I got a private message saying “sorry I’m just now seeing this post” and “I’m a bit confused as to whom I’m speaking with”. In neither situation did I reach out to them but they somehow got back in touch w me. I shoot for way to many big name companies to risk my name or character so I’d like to find out how best to resolve this. When I first came in I got a message from “Lowlight”I reached out to that person but have gotten no response.

It’s just going to be whack-a-mole with the scammers, unfortunately.

If we could lock down Ads so only OP’s could post on them , it would prevent a lot of people getting taken.

Account joined 11 years ago, first post a month ago, all read like they're AI generated. Definitely compromised account. Watch out. Reverse image search is your friend.

Folks,
quick question - What is the snipershide approach to selling to brand new accounts with zero transactions and no feedback? I have a guy who wants my current listing. The account went active on 2/8/15. No activity.

Over on GAFS, although selling to no or low flair users isn't prohibited it is cautioned against due to delivery scams and folks torching paypal accounts to try to get reversals. Never an issue for me but I did not how the vets in here approach it.

they hijacked a convo between seller and I. They ended up receiving Funds from me. They also using the same cell number above. They have been reported.

First you make sure it’s the actual seller and not a scammer who sent you a message because posted pm sent in the ad. Then you hit the report button at the bottom of the PM and report the issue.

That was not the seller that you reported. Most are so hyped to buy they don’t notice the person sending them a PM is not a supporter and has 0 posts.

So again for anyone reading this, DO NOT WRITE I’LL TAKE IT OR PM SENT IN A POST YOU WANT TO BUY. IT IS SCAMMER CHUM. SEND A PM. If you don’t get it then you don’t get it but you also won’t lose your money getting scammed.

Did you report them? Nope. That’s what can be done.

Also people need to stop writing I’ll take it or PM Sent in PX posts. That is chum for scammers. You are asking for trouble. Just PM the seller directly. If you are one of the stupid people who still posts I’ll take it or pm sent and get a pm from someone saying they are the seller STOP! But if you can’t stop and get a PM do the following. Slow down and look and see if the person is 1. A supporter and 2. Has any posts at all!

I think that only the OP should be able to reply to their PX add so they can bump it. Otherwise no one else can post to it.

There is a report button at the bottom of the PM.

And it’s not unhelpful but answering the question. People come and complain in this thread and never report the person they are complaining about and let them keep at it with some other member and try and scam them. We can’t do anything if we don’t know.

Go to their profile and there is a report button there too.
