AWB 2021 IS Here!

If this isn't a tyrannical .gov, I don't know what is. Just plain F!
I've made calls, sent Emails, joined organizations, bitched pissed and moaned, what F'n good is it going to do?
Reps could give a F about us peasants/serfs.
Complain and accuse Trump on being a dictator, really??
I hope they all, Demonrats and Rinos, burn in HELL!!
Mac:mad::mad:
ETA: Just wait until the B.A.T.F.E. gets to do their monkey F'n to it.

Of course it’s tyrannical. No gov this big has ever not been
They want to set the narrative as all of us being unreasonable crazy gun owners.
We are obviously conspiracy theorists for being concerned about what they're attempting, right...
I think not, anti-gun liberals are themselves, nutjobs on a mission to ruin any sort of happiness and prosperity in America!
We have to fight this relentlessly!
Phone calls, emails and in person visits made a difference years ago, and they will again if we do it right.
Don't lose heart, I know they want to keep all of us stressed out and on the defense.
We will beat this!

How many people are going to comply? Be honest
This is aimed squarely at manufacturers and sellers. All provisions have "grandfather" clauses that don't impact currently owned firearms. So this isn't about "compliance" per se ... it's more about the future of buy/sell/transfer transactions. It sucks ... and it won't pass ... but if it does, at least it won't impact my currently owned firearms. Bottom line ... this will be DOA in the Senate where some moderate Democrats would be fileted by their voters if they supported it.

I believe those moderate democrats you speak of will cave this time and vote for it even if it costs them their political careers, they will be good soldiers and sacrifice themselves because promises have been made to them. Jobs, money, ect.....

Where are the mfg's? This will impact many large companies that build, produce and sell these products. Companies with employees that will lose jobs. What are they doing about this? They have the capital to join forces and fight back against this, but I never hear a peep from them. I often wonder why they never make statements, try to organize their customer base or the public about these issues. I follow a lot of them on social media and it's just crickets. I also get tired of all the "this will never pass" folks. They just sit back and do nothing, which is why we're where we are right now. I'm bugging the shit out of my reps every day and I feel like i'm the only one and it's tiring. Falling on deaf ears.

I stopped trying to convince my reps. Goes like this:

Me: Don't vote yes on this issue, here is why it's unconstitutional, leading to the demise of society.

Them: I completely agree with your view and care about my constituents. Here is why I'm going to vote YES on the issue anyway.

My house of rep is now a full Marxist so I haven't even gotten one of those courtesy replies.

Time will tell. I think Manchin (WV) and Sinema (AZ) would both be "No" under pretty much any circumstances. That said, in the Senate, it takes 60 votes just to get the issue up for a vote, and those votes are just not there. The only way it gets close, is if the Democrats can kill the Filibuster, and that's a definite "No" from even more Democrats. I think like I said, this one is DOA in the Senate. They "might" find a way to pass universal background checks and a few other loophole closures, but no way any weapons bans will pass ... IMHO. We shall see.

Just because I'm a "This will never pass" believer ... doesn't mean I'm not bugging the shit out of my senators and congressmen. The two are not mutually exclusive. I'm annoying my elected representatives regularly ... just like you. I just stay positive as I assess the likelihood of passage, and feel pretty good about our chances. "Optimism" can coexist with "Action".

A few of them spoke out under Obama but yeah they have been rather quiet. However, many of them are pretty busy just trying to keep the doors open, without this being in the mix. Like Colt getting bought out by CZ and so on...many were on the verge already.

nope. Plz enlighten us. 🤣

Question:

So are they exempting the Mini 14? Because when I read through it looks like it is as long as it doesn't have any "evil" features like a folding stock or a threaded barrel and then in the very next clause they mention banning any semiauto with the ability to except a 10 round mag. So which is it?

They will NEVER stop with this shit. Once you realize this, then you can plan accordingly. Incremental gun bans are just as bad as them trying to ban them all outright. Trying to reason with these people is impossible. They don't want to meet in the middle. They want the whole fucking cake.

I have already drawn my line and am willing to die on it.

It's all of it. Pretty sure all mini's since 04 have threaded barrels. And can take a ten round mag. Can also take a 5 round mag

We hope, nobody.

Let's be real for a second.....until the next .gov agency knocks on or breaches your front door, it's safe to say that nothing pro-2nd amendment will happen within the next 4 years. It's all bullshit. Until whatever .Gov or .mil agency/agencies start going door-to-door to seize our firearms, it'll only get worse ON PAPER, until we physically start fighting back. And that won't happen until they come into or through your front door. Tell me I'm wrong. :) Discussion closed.

Hopefully it will never leave the Senate.

If you actually read this, there's some very interesting things in it. For example, there's nothing mentioning the $200 "assault weapon" stamp. It does say that all high capacity magazines, and "assault weapons" will be stamped with manufacturing dates.

It also says that guns and mags owned prior to it's passing would be grandfathered. but would have to be kept in secure gun storage or locking safety device. However it also seems to indicate there is no selling/transferring of any grandfathered item, not guns or mags, not even through inheritance.

Also from what I can see the terms of a "buy back" program referenced as USC Title 18, section 921 do not currently exist, but in other areas are referenced as being 125% of market value.

What I found most interesting is what falls into the definition of "assault weapon". For example any semi-auto rifle or handgun with a threaded barrel.

Any of the following, regardless of country of manufacture or caliber of ammunition accepted:

1) A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to utilize a magazine that is not a fixed (notice no round capacity listed); and has any ONE of the following:
  • A pistol grip
  • A forward grip
  • A folding, telescoping, or detachable stock, or is otherwise foldable or adjustable in a manner that operates to reduce the length, size, or any other dimension, or otherwise enhances the concealability, of the weapon.
  • A grenade launcher.
  • A barrel shroud.
  • A threaded barrel.

2) A semiautomatic rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds, except for an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.

3) Any part, combination of parts, component, device, attachment, or accessory that is designed or functions to accelerate the rate of fire of a semiautomatic firearm but not convert the semiautomatic firearm into a machine gun

4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to utilize a magazine that is not a fixed magazine; and has any ONE of the following:
  • A threaded barrel.
  • A second pistol grip.
  • A barrel shroud.
  • The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.
  • A semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm.
  • A manufactured weight of 50 ounces or more when unloaded.
  • A stabilizing brace or similar component.
  • A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.

5) A semiautomatic shotgun that does not have a fixed magazine and has any ONE of the following:
  • A folding, telescoping, or detachable stock.
  • A pistol grip or bird’s head grip.
  • A fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 5 rounds.
  • The ability to accept a detachable magazine.
  • A forward grip.
  • A grenade launcher.
  • Any shotgun with a revolving cylinder.
It then goes beyond that to list a couple hundred variants of guns saying those and any gun copies, duplicates, variants, or altered facsimiles with the capability of any such weapon thereof would also be assault weapons. It also goes on to list several hundred guns that are exempt.

Their definition of a "large capacity feeding device":
  • A magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device, including any such device joined or coupled with another in any manner, that has an overall capacity of, or that can be readily restored, changed, or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition
  • Does not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.’’.

So its not too bad at all. Kinda common sense kinda stuff. Cool.

So when they come to your door when your at work and you come home to a house that's trashed and the only weapons you have left are a shovel and a ironing board ...........what then ?

America was nice while it lasted.

It's hard to pretend that flag means anything when they hoist it. I'm sorry, but that's either their symbol or it's ours but it can't serve both purposes of tyranny AND freedom at the same time.

And FWIW, this whole "Congress 'Right' (govt. has NO Rights, only delegated power from those WITH Rights!) to Regulate Interstate Commerce" ACTUALLY means "regulate" in the sense to "keep regular" and NOT shit like curvature of lenses, number holes in cheese, keeping drugs illegal, etc.

Is it so hard to believe that our government went bad after decades of these abuses? Hell, if it weren't for the massacre of the Jews it'd be hard to distinguish this government from Hitler's.

BUT we have one ace in the hole: gun bans are racist.

So when they come to your door when your at work and you come home to a house that's trashed and the only weapons you have left are a shovel and a ironing board ...........what then ?

My wife is a stay at home mom and we have a contingency plan for this type of situation, if it were ever to occur. Not afraid of this happening.

Darn right! I've got a couple items in the safe I'd happily take 125% of market value for and laugh all the way to the bank. Finally dump some of those SIG beta testing lemons! :ROFLMAO:
Our Republic is bleeding out and your attitude is: “gee whillikers, I’m sure glad I get to keep my fixed mag and maybe sell it for $100 extra dollars!”
