Anyone use one? Different brand you like? How’s the battery life?

Mostly want it for my hunting rifles for load development, speed up the wait between groups. Yes I usually take a couple rifles but sometimes the bouncing back and forth can be a pain.

This is the ball cooler my dog uses

I use this one, I bought it a few years ago.

You don’t need to leave it on long so for me it hasn’t been hard on batteries.

I bought this one, and threw it away after 1 use.

thing is louder than a blender

Thermal shock isn’t going to happen using ambient air.

You could could put the barrel strait into a tornado and nothing would happen.

If you really want to see the limit of temperature differential and stresses induced, just search for the barrel material.

There are tons of charts and only 1-2 formulas.

Take your barrel (not red hot from full auto mag dumps) and dunk it in water...your fine.

...and hate/mock you
I shot a little rimfire match where somebody actually had one of these things in a .22. Sounds like a mosquito that drank a quart of Red Bull is has been glued into each ear. While I definitely understand their utility, they're annoying enough at a centerfire match. For a .22? Sheesh.

I 3d printed a duct for a 5v laptop cooling fan (silent). The duct adapts the output to a vinyl tube which fits in the chamber. I power it with a usb power bank, the same one I keep in my bag to charge my phone, etc. You'll never run the usb charger dead with a fan, it only pulls 150mA and even my small usb power bank is 5200mAh. That works out to 30-35 hours of battery life....

It cools the barrel and suppressor in a hurry.

I’ve got the chamber chiller twice, first one my cousin dropped the ar10 bolt carrier release on it... and I’m on my second now. On their website they have a section for old and discontinued models and you can get one for 20 something dollars.
I want a riflekuhl. It they teased a quiet second generation months ago but haven’t released it yet. I don’t want the first gen noisy cricket.

I have a magnetospeed khuler. It blows air, it cools the barrel to just above ambient in about 6 minutes.

Everyone at the range with electronic muffs will stare at you.

I stare at myself when I use it.. lol

I am usually alone and never seen anyone at the range but one day I had a pistol shooter leave his pistol bay and walk over and peak through the bushes at me. I'm guessing it was to see what the noise was. His pistol bay was about 70 yards from the rifle range.

Stupid is as stupid does

Heat affects accuracy, so helping your barrel cool more efficiently between strings of fire helps it maintain accuracy. That's also one of the biggest benefits to heavy contoured barrels, more mass means it takes more rounds to heat up, which means more rounds before accuracy is affected.
