Huge update and game changer on the Elftmann 700 SE trigger. I just talked with Jeff at Elftmann. Jeff said I got one of the earlier versions that was not tested with the stock I have but would fit the Bergara chassis models. They changed the design and now sell the 700 SE trigger with a slimmer body that will fit my stock trigger guard. He is sending me a return label and will send me a replacement trigger. Also, my trigger only come with the curved bow when in fact it should have come with the curved AND straight bow.
This is exactly how I had hoped this would play out. So glad I didn't modify my trigger guard.

Happy for you about the change on the Elftmann trigger, I'm waiting for your report. I ordered a B-14R today, hope it's not 2-3 months in coming!
I'm most happy with mine. By the time I shoot it again it will feel like a new gun. New as in I just got it new, haven't shot it in so long.

LOL...well, I'm going to take this question serious and say that they are in fact paper plates. I know, I know hard to believe but you gotta trust me on this one. The circles are reinforcement rings you would buy to ... wait...wait for it...drumroll... reinforce 3-ring binder notebook paper. You gotta trust me on this one too. The OD on the ring is 1/2" and the ID is 1/4". Cheap targets, I can shoot a box of 50 on one plate, all targets I shoot at 55 yards are with paper plates, white background is easy to see and make quick comparisons to other targets/plates, they stack great for storage, the bullets make clean holes with a nice cardboard back plate, if you run out, go to almost anywhere and buy more plates, reinforcement rings are almost as plentiful as the plates and on and on. Many benefits to using a simple paper plate and reinforcement rings.
Now on the other hand if you are trying to be "funny", you better not make any targets like mine because I have a patent on these and will sue your ass up one isle at Walmart and down the other.
And for anyone else out there.....well....don't get any ideas. Agreed. Of all the rifles I have tested in the last two years this one is hands down my favorite. I love it.

It is due to the reports from both of you that I bit the "bullet" and ordered the B-14R. I haven't had a match chamber 22lr since I sold my Annie 54 many years ago.
Currently shooting a Ruger RPR rimfire that averages around 5/8" 5 shot groups at 100 yds with 2 different lots of CCI SV. I'm looking for 1/2 MOA or better from the B -14R with higher grade ammo, consistently. It has to shoot as well as my KIDD barreled 10/22 clone (sub 1/2 MOA with SK Pistol Match, sub 5/8 MOA with CCI SV) to stay in the stable.
I have high hopes for the B-14R, has most all the "goodies" out of the box. I'm using the RPR for base class in NRL22 and the B-14R will likely be my open class. I might even try some of the other long range 22 games if this performs well and my old body doesn't complain too much. I "rediscovered" rimfire again last year and am really enjoying all it involves.
If I find the trigger unacceptable, I do have a Remington 2oz and a Canjar Light Pull I can try in it. I can live with a clean crisp trigger of heavier weight though since I shot NRA 3 gun pistol, Service Rifle and Highpower and Smallbore Silhouette (both open and hunter) in the past.
Can you tell I'm just a bit anxious to get my hands on the B-14R? And a couple of extra mags too!

Nope. Not trying to be funny. For all the reasons mentioned, they're great.
I don't think the B14R will give you 1/2" at 100 yards. You have a pretty unicorn RPRR if you're getting 5/8" averages at 100 yards, most RPRR's I've seen get about 5/8" averages at 50 yards. and about 1.25-1.5" at 100 yards. In all of the submissions last year for the 6x5 @ 100 yards, only 1 person hit 1/2 MOA at 100 yards, and that was with a AIAX Vudoo.

I haven't done any 6X5's but do occasionally shoot 3 or 4 100 yd groups in a session if the conditions are what I think are good. Limited range time last year, but that will change for this year. I'm going to make the effort to spend more time at the range and "wait" for conditions.
I bought some Center X, R50, RWS Rifle Match, some Eley and other versions of SK to try this year, just to see what the RPR and the B-14R are capable of. Unfortunately, unless I get to an indoor range someplace I'll have to wait a few months for better weather, and until the B-14 gets here.
That's fine, I wasn't trying to be a smartass either. But, I have had people "for whatever reason" make fun of my paper plate targets. I just try to go with the flow. IMO, for rimfire at 50-55 yards they are the perfect target. I will say one more thing, depending on reticle design, a 12 power scope is the minimum needed to get a consistent aiming point.
I hate of have coerced someone into spending their hard earned money but I really believe it will be money well spent. Littlepod is right about the 1/2" at 100 but you are right, we can always hope. You do have a rare Ruger PR if it shoots less than an inch at 100. I have trouble getting mine to do 5/8" at 55 yards. Great choice on the B-14R, you will love it.
I have a roll of white craft paper and buy the little target dots that are $10 for 1000. That and my pocket knife and I’m good.
You will truly love it. 1/2 moa at 100 ummm I couldn't do it with a rail gun much less on my own. What I will say is that I have shot this rifle alot. And I could shoot it for hours. How much is a lot, if i could afford it i could shoot a brick a day. This gun is just super consistent. Magazine is wonderful, the bolt and its operation wonderful. I put a trigger tech special in it and I don't have a scale to see how light. But its lighter than my cz 457 and I have it set as as light as I can get it. No issues with the tt special in my gun. The new version elftman is supposed to be much lighter with issues resolved. As for accuracy, my gun will shoot sk std + SK rifle match and center x in no larger than a dime. Typically 3/4 of a dime is an avg group. Some lots are btr than others. I have had a few lots of cci std it shot almost as good. It does outshoot my kidd supergrade. I do have the ultralight barrel so not as much weight there. But the bergara beats it and is much easier to shoot accurately. I am probably 2000 rounds into this gun and have not had a single malfunction of any kind what so ever. I love this thing. When the carbon version comes out I am buying that too. Just for looks if nothing else. Before everybody asks is it a Vudoo. Nope Vudoo is a one wholer and even more consistent. But next to Vudoo money this thing is king. I have tested a supergrade, t1x, and 6 cz 457s with custom barrels. This gun to me is the real deal. Bergara knocked this shit out of the park.

Does anyone know if you can get spare magazines for these yet? I know here if you want to shoot a rifle in a match you have to have at least 2 magazines. If I buy one of these and can’t get another magazine I couldn’t use it in a match even if I wanted to.
Just go to these webpages and go on a waiting / notify me list. It took me 2weeks to get 4 mags, $26 each. This was last week, just checked and yes they are all out of stock again.
Two weeks again I got notified by 3 suppliers at the same day and could have ordered 100 of them.
It‘s the same you’ll have to do with lots of items in our hobby, powder, Forster dies and so on......
No big deal, usually takes less then a month to get what you want.
I wasn't searching for the part number and could only find the BXR magazines. I don’t mind waiting I just couldn’t even find the tings anywhere for sale.
Shot the B14R all day today including four 5 shot groups with 10 different kinds of .22 match and if I take the best four groups from yesterday with SK Standard+ the average for 44 5-shot groups is .638". I do believe I love this rifle.

No, 50 yards. The Aguila ammo that I had skewed the results a bit because the rifle didn't really like their Rifle or Pistol Match ammo. I don't have the data in front of me but if I remember right the 20 round aggregate for 4 out of the 11 types was under 1/2" and a couple others were a shade over 1/2".
The review was good but could have been more in-depth.
There seems to be a a lack in confidence in the rifles represented on SH. Tons of pictures of the rifles and very few targets other than cherry picked "best group" ever shot with that rifle. This thread is almost an exception to that statement as kissofdeath posted more than a few plates full of holes.

I'll be taking delivery of one of these rifles soon. I'll be posting a picture of every single round fired. I have multiple lot numbers of eley match, lapua center x and midas+, and RWS R50 on hand. However, it isn't as if there are lots of days warm enough to properly test a 22lr for a few months yet.
Suffice it to say there are many people that will be getting these rifles, and most will not be properly tested until mid-summer sometime. It takes time to get round count. It takes time to do lot testing. It takes time for weather to clear out. Everyone will generally only have a sample size of 1, and everyone will have varying degrees of skill. Add to that people's nature and the propensity to post untruth. All of this creates an environment where it's very difficult to learn anything from anyone else. You want to know? You buy and do. That's all there is to it.
As it happens I have 2 of them. I didn't offer a review of the rifle, and don't intend to.

Well I just ordered one of these Bergara 22lrs. It was between this and the CZ 457 MTR. I have shot 2 of my friends MTRs and have been impressed with the accuracy. LGS can get the B14R but no stock thru their vendors on the MTR. I have hi hopes this will at least match what their guns are doing ?
I received my B 14R last Thursday. Cleaned it up, cleaned the barrel, installed a Leupold M8-24 Target for testing. Shot it both Saturday and Sunday, cold (35*-45F), and windy (6-12 mph variable direction winds with gusts) both days.
Shot only CCI SV due to conditions, known lot that shoots very well out of my RPR rimfire, Shot off bench with bags front and rear, but due to excessive clothing I went to a bipod and rear bag. The bipod and rear bag produced better for me under the conditions.
When conditions allowed 5 consecutive shots without changing too much, I was able to record groups measuring under 1/2" (many .4something) with the best .293" and .343".
I believe this rifle will be a real shooter with better conditions and some premium ammo.
Action is as slick as silk from the beginning. Feeds flawless as well.
Now to wait on my selected scope. Still debating over 1/10 mrad or 1/4" clicks. I think I may be too old to learn the mrad thing. or get confused and dial in too much.

I still can't figure out why MIL is so popular. Shooting 22s with buddies this weekend. One just got a new Athlon ares ETR in MIL. We were shooting steel plates at various distances out to 400. The rest of us are still doing MOA. As we would change distance we had a good idea what to do in MOA. The guy shooting MIL got frustrated and already wants to sell the scope instead of learning the math.
Mil = base 10. Everything is a decimal.

Strelok pro. Set it up and it's the easiest $6 to get you damn close.
Mill actually works great. 50 yard zero, 1 mil takes me to 75, 2 Mills is 100.
It's also way easier to dial in "3.7mills" (37 clicks) than 12.7 moa (51 clicks).
It's not metric vs standard, it's .1 per click rather than .25 per click.
With that athlon all he had to do was see a miss, measure it with the reticle, dial correction, and he should hit.
We talked about this. Since the reticle and adjustments are both MIL and in FFP just read the hit and dial that number. His other gripe was trying to zero at 50. Adjusting .1 mil left or right was off the Bull to either side. He was frustrated but the guy that bought the scope was sitting to the other side of him and using MOA. Eventually I guess we will all get infected with MIL one way or another. But for today I'll be moving the old school nightforce 8X32 with MOAR-T reticle from my 1022 to the new Bergara and be good dialing out to 350 sitting on a 30MOA base. ?
At 50 yards 0.1 MRAD is 0.18" and 1/4 MOA is 0.13". Both are less than the diameter of a 22LR round. The difference in distance-per-click is literally 5/100 of an inch. Unless you're putting every round in the same 0.22" hole you'll never see the difference. Shooting either side of the bull is either ammo or shooter, not the value of clicks. Either one works, it's just a different way of relaying the same information.
This is my main concern. I had a rifle that did this once with MOA, never could get it zeroed dead center for windage until I machined a bit off of the ring mount. Lots of trial and error.
One article I read discussing MRAD and MOA made the statement that MRAD was better for moving targets due to larger click value (less clicks), and MOA was better for stationary targets (more precise). I think I fall into his reasoning.
Now if I was willing to spend the money for a .22 scope, I would really consider the Hawke Sidewinder ED. Comes with 3 different sets of interchangeable turrets (.1 , 1/8" and 1/4") that way I could compare without changing the scope and decide which was best "for me". It also has most all the desired features, 30mm tube, 45MOA internal adjustment range for both elevation and windage, ED glass, side focus, locking turrets, illumination, sunshade, metal flip up covers, 4" side wheel, pointer and all wrenches and accessories needed to change out turrets.
