Well in my quest in obtaining the perfect load for this round I have fallen quite short. I have done multiple test using lapua brass, br2 primers, and varget with good velocitys with a average sd of around 15, but pretty bad groups. I've tried using reloader 15 with even better results as far as velocity but worse accuracy and sd. Next up on my list is xbr 8208 which so far is giving me an ad of around 4 and decent groups, but a velocity of around 2500. Anyone have experience using xbr with 185 bullets? If so how far are you pushing them?

Try some Federal 210M's with Varget and seat them at a .020" jump. You should have a couple solid nodes in the 43.5-45gr range. If the best SD you're getting is 15 you should check your neck tension and charge consistencies.

If accuracy is still poor get a concentricity gauge and check runout on fired brass, sized brass, and your loaded rounds. Brass should be coming out of your chamber reading perfectly straight and after sizing and loading should be able to maintain .002" runout at most on a quality press with quality dies and good technique.

Raised my loads to 42 grains of xbr and I'm getting crazy results. Not what I was expecting in the least using this powder.

I’ve had extremely good luck with imr 4064 , 43.8 varget, and 44 H4895. Lapua brass. CCI br2 and fgm210 primers.
