New to the Forum and have done some searches in earlier threads but still curious what people think about the fastest most accurate powder throwers? Lets pretend Money is not an issue, in fact lets pretend there are no limitations. Off line systems for single stage process or onboard systems for Progressives. Manual or electronic. And ready go.

Thanks in advance

This would be the one to get.

Best bang for your buck with be the Autotrickker V3.
I would think that the Prometheus is top of the line but you could buy 4-5 V3’s for the price.
To be fair, the OP said money was not an issue. Maybe he doesn't realize how much a Prometheus costs haha.

I'd rather have 1 Prometheus than 3 AutoTricklers, but that's just me...

A Prometheus can also charge to within 1 kernel without power as long as the kernel trickler plate is spun by hand.

Chargemaster V3 has worked well enough for me to shoot to 1300 with 6.5 creed and 6GT. Have also slung rounds at Mile targets but the plate was very large.

I get sub 10 sd’s with every charge just about with the 6GT no matter where I’m at with the powder charge.

That being said I want a V3 just because you can always get more accurate.

budget chargemaster.
don’t care about budget V3 auto

Thanks for the Input guys I currently have multiple Chargemaster Lite's. I have done some research into the AutoTrickler and the Prometheus. Both look like good candidates for what I am trying to accomplish. Does anybody have any experience with throwers for Progressives that can throw with in .1 of a grain?

harrells, powder dependent though

but for mechanical throwers, it can’t be beat

Prometheus if you can afford it
AutoTrickler V3 if you can't afford that
Chargemaster if you can't afford that
What he said. I have used a hornady, rcbs, and autotrickler V3. The V3 blows the hornady and RCBS out of the water. I will never go back to the others period

I've seen at least two setups on Dillon 550's with the Prometheus, but you'd still have to actuate the powder drop on it. They just built something so that the Prometheus sits over the funnel going into the powder die.

But again... thats a lot of chedda

Money is no object, Buy both. I don't have any experience with a gen 2, but the gen 1 is as consistent as you could ever ask for, little slower than the v3, has no drift and able to have more airflow around it. My biggest complaint on the prometheus is for throwing over 102 grains, which is 2 cycles through the prometheus verses 1 cycle through the v3. Means less chance of screwing up and much faster on the v3. All said with all the data on rounds being so close when tested, I prefer the v3 over the gen 1

I use the jds- accuracy is HIGHLY dependent on the amount of powder in the powder column... i throw, then trickle up as I dont trust enough to just throw the charge. Yea, I know, you dont throw the charge on the jds, but you get my drift...
I have the jds, chargemaster and the hornady, saving for a V3.
