Hi Guys: Sighted in a new Bighorn Arms 260 Rem build today at 100 yards. I really can't say enough good things about AJ at Bighorn Arms and the quality of the action they make. After having the receiver blued, Ernie Boardman of Gunner's Sport Shop in Brookings, Oregon let me watch while he chambered and threaded a PacNor 20" Sendero barrel in 260 Rem. He is a true craftsman. Sunnyside Scott on the Hide sold me his aics 1.5 and after a bit of machining the creature was finished. Thanks for the stock Scott!

I shot 4 five round groups on playing cards. The first 2 unsuppressed were .4ish, the third group was suppressed and was .2 to .3ish with a shooter error enlarging the group to .5. The poi shift with the suppressor was unexpectedly significant (3 moa down and 2.5 right) which is a bit more than with other rifles I use the TBAC 30P on.

I unscrewed the suppressor, re-zerod turrets and shot the last group which came in at .15. Shooting was done bipod and bag out of the bed of the pickup truck and the scope is a USO SN-3 at 1.8-10x with a pretty thick mdmoa reticle The brass was only full length resized and zero load development was done. I think the gun shows potential to be freakishly accurate with the Bighorn PacNor combination. I look forward to shooting it with s bushing necksized fireformed brass and maybe doing a little load development.

No way! Hard work! Here's a picker of the barrel being chambered:

And here's a picture where I racked my nuts climbing into the pickup bed from the side to shoot those groups:

That sure is a purdy lookin stick.

"Kimo is over his private topic limit." So I'll ask here instead.

How long did the build take, and how much you have to put into it?

Sorry Goat; wasn't watching this thread: the cost data is:

22" PacNor 260 Rem 260
Thread and chamber 200
Receiver Bighorn 995
Rail 75
Jewell 225
ship/handling 15
used aics 1.5 660
ffl transfer 20

$2450

It took about 3 months for the build but that was primarily waiting for the barrel and then the receiver's bluing. Very little wait for the action after ordering and a week or so for bluing it after it arrived.

Good luck!
