Some good comments about how did the USDA let this go on for so long. There is supposed to be an inspection at each shift. So this wasn't the recent listeria issue; over 6 years!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm wondering what Publix is doing now? Shitting their pants (pun not intended)? Looks like Dietz and Watson will be the new "go-to" for me.

Damn, and my favorite local sub place probably advertises boars head. I damn near got myself a sub tonight too. Good thing I settled for home-made egg salad and smoked bacon. What could go wrong there?

guess i am getting in the same boat. shop both markets but the boars head problems just can't be ignored any more.
the FDA spends it's time not inspecting the big corp players that are too big to fail. or,big enough to supply brides directly or to the managing bureaucracy. spend time hassling small growers, ranchers and sellers that aren't part of the FIC.
